  1. I remember last year around this time we had a similar discussion. We came to the conclusion that a rod and sheff would cancel each other out, same for ortez and manny and vlad would win. That probably won't happen this year though. A rod's season has been leaps and bounds better, looking like the a rod of old. Plus who was the last MVP to miss a month of the season?
  2. I agree with your last sentence, still a lot of baseball to be played. BTW- in a moch voting of 15 ESPN voters, A rod had 13 votes. Ortez had 1 and one person was undecided.
  3. Because his team isn't going to make the playoffs. You flip-flopped in one post. You say it matters where the team finishes, if that's the case then tejada can't possibly get it.
  4. they did get a better deal. Weaver is a lot better there than he was here, but if you think he would here how he's pitching now, you're wrong. Neither team got screwed because we gave up a guy with no future here for another guy with no future here.
  5. A-rod won it in 03 I believe and his team finished in last place. Then again nobody else's stats were even close to his, so they pretty much had to give it to him, but it shows that non-playoff teams can have an MVP of the league.
  6. Tejada? Even he does, his team will still be 15 games away from the action. I'm not saying because all ortez does is hit that that eliminates him, but it should lessen his chances.
  7. Yeah, it was a joke. Theres this character at a yankee board I post at that said we'd all be wearing kevin brown shirts by the end of the year. If someone takes all my clothes away and pays for a brown shirt, I may consider wearing it.
  8. RBI's are about the only thing ortez beats him in. MVP's are based on all around what they can do. All ortez can do is hit and A rod actually has a better seaon than him in that section. How can he beat him out?
  9. Yes he should, tell my otherwise.
  10. No, though I think duante won't suffer that much without moss, he won't be as good as donovan who still has TO and quite frankly...
  11. Not really, weaver wasn't going to be an ace here either, but brown has just been awful. I hope he retires in defeat.
  12. I dunno about 0%, I expect the A's to sweep but I think the yanks have better than a 0% chance of winning todays game.
  13. Is some kind of joke? A shoo-in? At best he has a fair chance.
  14. By the end of the season you'll all be wearing Kevin Millar shirts.http://70.84.190.115/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif
  15. They will as soon as they start running out of names. Hurricane shenequa is going to be a real hurricane.
  16. Just did another draft last night. I'm a lot happier with this team. 7th pick this time which breaks a streak of 4 straight last pick drafts. QB- Trent Green WR- Reggie Wayne WR- Nate Burleson RB- Corey Dillon RB- Domanic Davis TE- Todd Heap W/R- Michael Bennet (should get the starting job)(RB) W/R- Eddie Kennison(WR) W/R- Ronnie Brown(RB) -leave ricky! K- Adam Vinatieri DEF- Buffalo Bench QB- C. Palmer WR- J. Galloway TE- D. Clark RB- T. Henry WR- T. Glenn RB- N. Goings K- N. Kaeding DEF- Chicago
  17. Yeah, I just heard about that. I was looking at his numbers and was wondering why nobody was drafting him. Oh well, at least I didn't draft freddie jones.
  18. You got at least second pick though. I got last as always.
  19. I was a little dissapointed. I don't know why the f*** I drafted Hines Ward so early and I waited too long for a kicker. I think it's decent though. 12 team league. QB K. Collins WR H. Ward WR A. Johnson RB T. Barber RB C. Portis TE A. Crumpler W/R D. Branch W/R P. Burress W/R M. Robinson BN J. Delhomme (Car - QB) BN L. Suggs (Cle - RB) BN B. Troupe (Ten - TE) BN A. Davis (NE - WR) BN O. Smith (Min - RB) BN A. Randle El (Pit - WR) BN R. Gardner (Car - WR) K L. Tynes (KC - K) BN J. Kasay (Car - K) DEF Philadelphia BN Dallas
  20. I say giants sneak into the playoffs with an 8-8 record. Jets go 11-5 and make the playoffs easily. Pats go 14-2 or something ridiculous like that. They have tom brady and quite frankly.... Undecided on SB champs.
  21. Yeah, I was worrying he might have broken it. I say he misses 1 start at most. Bad luck costs us today's game. We win with wright out there. Look at all those w's.
  22. Thats why I'm here.http://70.84.190.115/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
  23. LOL, my mistake. The ball hit him, not the bat. I only saw it once, thought the bat came off and hit him. They were actually more worried about him swallowing his tobacco.
  24. Kind of reminded of what happend to clement except with was with a broken bat. A lot more dangerous. I mean that could have killed him. Very disgusting to watch, I didn't see any blood so I'm just hoping that it just shook him up and he will be ok.
  25. Yep, so did the NFL. You can hate the players or whatever, but don't hate the organization.
