Who cares if it's real or not? It shouldn't be a big deal. You're getting paid millions of dollars, I think you can pitch with a little discomfort around your ankle and not make a huge deal about it. Look at hockey players, football players play with broken bones.

His splitter was the best I've seen since his return, but he still hung some. His fastball did get in the 90's fairly consistently, but I don't he'll ever be what he once was.
Thats a different story for another time. This is about his bad pitch calling, which I don't agree with. Only the pitcher knows if he's calling a good game or not.
Yes, if you didn't watch the game and just looked at the boxscore, you should probably be encouraged. If you watched it and saw he really should have given up more runs, well I wouldn't say he pitched that much better.
