  1. He signed it with the intent of adding some humor. There's nothing wrong with that...
  2. lol, I know you have been. I don't think you were in that thread after the game ended (or while I was there at least), but I sure wish you were. I would have had someone else to help me tell everyone to chill the hell out.
  3. If the Sox win tomorrow and push the Yanks back to 6.5, we've buried their hopes for the division. Magic number down to single digits bitches....9!
  4. No offense, but you went to Syracuse and really expected to see a good football team?
  5. Ellsbury is a deity at the very least.
  6. It depends on whether or not the Yankees think that 1 pitch is enough to keep him out for the next day. f***ing pussies.
  7. He's a troll. Don't mind him. The other Yankees fans are fine. I'm just going to brush this thread off. I know it was made out of frustration. Completely irrational, but I understand. All that said, everyone needs to stop being a pussy.
  8. They did. Drew didn't play when lefties were pitching. Wily Mo will only get better with regular playing time. Platoons won't do anything for him.
  9. BC @ Georgia Tech tonight. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
  10. He was just frustrated. Honestly, like I said last night, I think it was one of the best things that could have happened to them. Normally, I don't ever think there is such a thing as a good loss, but getting embarrassed and bitch slapped by the Yankees on our own turf last night made me feel great for some reason. I had a great feeling about Beckett today. My gut is f***ing awesome!
  11. So yeah. I pretty much predicted that Beckett would have a beastly outing.
  12. I don't think he really CHEATS (I mean, yeah, getting caught was stupid and WAS cheating), but there are so many worse things that you could get caught doing. I don't think he pushes the envelope. However, I do think that he studies these rules religiously and looks for a way to twist the language in the rule book. It won't stop. Teams will just be more careful. I'm certain that it goes on all over the place.
  13. I have a football game tomorrow, so I have to go to sleep now. But I want to leave you all with one last thing: You can all whine and sulk as much as you want, but that doesn't change the fact that there are still 2 games left in this series. Yeah, this loss hurts. A lot. I don't blame those of you that want to cuss your ass off and/or put your fist through a window. I don't blame you. By all means, go for it if you need it. But take a deep breath and calm the f*** down when you're done. No one knows how much tonight sucked more than the players do. We have Beckett going tomorrow. His numbers against them this year don't mean s*** right now. All that matters is that he goes out and pitches like he knows how to pitch. Because when he does, he's untouchable. Everyone go to sleep, save your breath, and wake up tomorrow morning knowing that Beckett is going to be absolutely firing right out of the gate. This was a wake-up call. Everyone stop feeling so sorry, and grow a pair. Like I said, I don't blame you for feeling s***** or anything, but don't you all remember? IT'S f***ING ON, **********S.
  14. I didn't mean to make that sound like I was mocking you. I'm just talking about people who bash Drew incessantly in general.
  15. I can see it now... WE LOST THIS GAME BECAUSE DREW DIDN'T HIT THE GAME-TYING HOME RUN IN THE BOTTOM OF THE NINTH!!!!!1111
  16. I've been one of the biggest hard-asses on this team throughout the entire season. I had a feeling that Matsuzaka was going to come up big tonight, and while it wasn't the prettiest start he's ever had, he came up pretty damn big. He had all sorts of trouble with New York this season until tonight. I really don't have irrational blind Red Sox fandom, and many people on the board will tell you that. Come on, I know you don't come here as often as you did a few years ago, but don't you at least remember what I stand for? Beckett came up pretty big about 4 years ago, I'd say... I know that's moot, but I'm just sayin... Also, Beckett's a gamer. I have 100% confidence that he's going to come out with guns blazing tomorrow. He's been the ace of this team the whole friggin year. It's time to see what he's made of, and I think he'll respond quite well.
  17. I understand your frustration, but just calm down. Beckett stops the bleeding tomorrow. No one knows better how much the Red Sox sucked tonight than the players themselves. They'll right the ship. Get a good night's sleep and wake up tomorrow morning with the mind set that tomorrow's a new day.
  18. Beckett stops the bleeding tomorrow and we take 2/3 after this wake-up call...mark my words. I still even feel that we have a good shot at winning this game. This night could be one of the best things to happen to this team. I wouldn't be surprised if you end up being right, but I just have a different gut feeling.
  19. Oh, there's Gagne. Hey, Tito....WHERE WAS HE IN THE EIGHTH INNING? I thought he was going to lighten the load on Jima, god DAMN it.
