  1. Go for the sweep! We're already in the playoffs, but let's win that division title. A win brings the magic number down to 5, coupled with a Yankees' loss the number is down to 4. GO SOX! Game Info: Date: Sunday, September 23rd, 2007 Teams: Boston Red Sox (92-63) @ Tampa Bay Devil Rays (63-92) First Pitch: 1:40pm EDT Venue: Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, Florida TV: NESN Starting Pitchers: http://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/4906.jpghttp://bellsouthpwp.net/c/h/chinigor/TALKSOX/VS.GIFhttp://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/7241.jpg http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/bos.gif#49 Tim Wakefield (16-11, 4.73) http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/tb.gif#36 Edwin Jackson (4-15, 5.99) Mojo of the day: How 'bout some pump-up songs? This is one of the many songs my football team uses to get pumped during the pre-game hours, so I figured I'd use it. NOTE: This isn't the actual music video for the song (I don't think there is one), it's just a compilation of random scenes from his videos. [youtube=Eminem - 'Till I Collapse]RPkAHvp1Vgw PUMP-UP MOJO!
  2. ... Drew is one of our best players right now. Coco should sit.
  3. I just heard on the post-game that they didn't pop any champagne or anything, obviously, but they had a toast behind closed doors. Not that anyone would expect to pop champagne after clinching a mere spot, lol.
  4. Yeah, but I don't blame Francona for using him in that role. You'd figure after awhile he'd figure himself out (and the last two nights look promising...his off-speed stuff seems to be there). I see what you mean, but the blame doesn't lie with Tito. It lies with Gagne himself.
  5. Hm you don't like Ortiz? Really? That's strange. A lot of Yankees fans I know like him a lot. I will admit though he seems to challenge the strike zone a lot more this year. I really like Matsui. I don't know why, but he plays the game the way it's supposed to be played. Last year when he broke his wrist and apologized for it? He's also just a good guy. I like Jeter, Rivera and Melky too. Some of the older Yankees I liked were Brosius and, obviously, Bernie. I know O'Neil was a great player, but to me it always seemed like he whined a lot.
  6. JULIO f***ING LUGO!!!!! 8-6! A win tonight clinches that playoff spot for the Sox.
  7. JASON VARITEK IS ON f***ING FIRE RECENTLY!!!!! lol, I just realized that the Red Sox are Reyes' f***ing daddy this year. Tie game!
  8. Actually, I'm starting to think that post may have been sarcasm. I know him personally (not very well, but I know his personality well enough) so it's making me think he may not have been serious. I don't know though. It sounded serious when I first read it.
  9. JD Drew! He's really not as bad as everyone would like to believe...
  10. LOL. Well, at least you had fun today I hope?
  11. Jacoby Ellsbury needs to be a starter in the post-season. I'm sorry, but he's just too good not to start.
  12. Well, they did beat them last night...
  13. No gamethread, and it's already in the second inning! I'll get my fancy scheme up. One sec. Sorry RSR, but too late bud! Yanks already won, so bring the magic number down to 6 please. Game Info: Date: Saturday, September 22nd, 2007 Teams: Boston Red Sox (91-63) @ Tampa Bay Devil Rays (63-91) First Pitch: 7:10pm EDT Venue: Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, Florida TV: NESN Starting Pitchers: http://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/7906.jpghttp://bellsouthpwp.net/c/h/chinigor/TALKSOX/VS.GIFhttp://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/7984.jpg http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/bos.gif#18 Daisuke Matsuzaka (14-12, 4.41) http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/tb.gif#38 Andy Sonnanstine (6-9, 5.68) Mojo of the day: For the record, I really do hate this commercial...but the mojo was on the top of my head. [youtube=McNuggets!]XSZ6k3QIsAk McNUGGETS MOJO!
  14. lol, what a s***** game. The Blue Jays gave up like 5 leads today. Josh Towers is horrible.
  15. I love how the Yanks will give a lead up, and then just make it up like it's nothing. f*** 'em.
  16. Gahhhh tying run in scoring position.
  17. LUNA WON IT! Hahahahahahahahahah holy s***. HOLD ONTO THE DAMN LEAD.
  18. LOL ZAUN! 10-9!
  19. RIOS! 9-9! Farnsworth sucks SO MUCH. 1st and 2nd with 1 down for Zaun. C'mon man.
  20. lol, Farnsworth walked Johnson on 4 pitches and now Stairs is up.
