Yeah, tipped INT's are the worst to watch. They need to make a new stat category for it or something, like WR induced picks or SOMETHING. Because when the QB hits the WR in the chest and the WR f***s up bad and the DB gets an INT, that's definitely not the QB's fault, and statistically it's misleading. Tom had a bad game yesterday. That's the bottom line. I don't hold it against him though, it's been his first in a long long time. And being basically the only offensive weapon on the field with a lot of new linemen on the field as well is hard. He's gotta make sure everyone knows what their doing. But hey, KC is a great team. I'm actually surprised at how our defense picked it up at the end considering their o-line has like 3 starting probowlers on it.

We've done that already. And look at what's come out of it... That second string QB led us to a superbowl championship in 2001. He led us to the next 2 superbowls in the next 3 years. That second string QB that we kept winning with was Tom effin' Brady. Thank you.

Well, Baltimore's rotation also had a shitload of problems. Other than Bedard, who went down for a good length of time, they had next to no one decent. Ponson is a drunk little bastard, and Rodrigo Lopez was a pest sometimes (normally, always a pest to the Sox). Toronto has a consistent rotation throughout, and it's not too bad for a Toronto rotation (I'm assuming with this move of acquiring with Ryan, Burnett is no longer in the mix with them): Halladay Lilly Towers Chacin Batista (Used to be a starter, but went to close. Now can start again. Instead of trading him, why not use him effectively?) Again, that rotation is only if they don't get Burnett. If they do get Burnett, I would stick with Batista in the rotation and see if they can ship Towers off somewhere for a somewhat decent bat. If Towers doesn't get it done, then I guess shipping off Batista for a bat would work too. But basically what I'm trying to say is, if the Jays can stay healthy throughout, their rotation is an added element that the Orioles simply didn't have. The Jays are a pretty well rounded team, and if they don't make some serious noise this year, they will play the role of "spoiler" this year pretty decently.

Well, even when Jorge Julio was the official closer in Baltimore, Ryan was still dominant. I definitely think the Jays are inching closer to being an official threat in the AL East. The AL East is easily the most dominant/competitive division in the majors. This season is just going to be amazing.

I understand that, but I just have a problem with it overall. While it is America, and yes I'm fine with people protesting it, just don't turn your back to the country. When I tihnk of the flag, I think of the whole body of America compressed into a visual representation of the country. Don't turn your back to it. Hate the president, hate what's going on, but don't publicly display what could be taken as hate for the country. Anyways, I wouldn't mind Delgado in Boston, his bat is awesome and has some great fielding mechanics too. If we get Delgado, it would solve our 1B problems forever. I mean prior to last year, Mike Lowell was an amazing 3rd baseman. He still is in my eyes, and I'm happy to have him. Mr. Green Monster will be his best friend, and I have high hopes for Lowell... That being said, LOOK AT THIS INFIELD (if we got Delgado): Lowell - Renteria - Pedroia/Graff - Delgado - Tek I'm one happy camper.

Yep, Rick has done more good to this site than maybe any of us combined have done. Well, Yeszir made it, but Rick's generosity is above and beyond. I have his back too.... That being said, I hate LA too. I hate the Lakers. Sure, what they've accomplished is great, but it's true that in Boston anyone will poop on someone for mentioning the Lakers. But let's talk about today. The Cavs have definitely impressed me. Larry Hughes gives Lebron some help on the floor and takes a lot of the weight of carrying the team off of his shoulders. Larry is a solid threat with his shot, and that's the reason we have seen Lebron develop the way he has. I was watching the C's game last night, and I noticed a no look pass from Lebron which was beautiful and split 2 C's defenders. I remember Lebron trying to win the game for himself the past 2 years, but now he's matured and understands that he has to wait for the game "to come to him," if you know what I mean... He's letting other guys make the plays for him, while at the same time making some for himself. The Cavs are definitely one of the strongest in the East, behind the Pistons. They will definitely make a huge run this year.

I would love Ichiro. Sure, the power isn't like Manny's (but there IS the occasional grand slam from Ichiro ), but he gots on base virtually every time, we will finally have a stealing threat, AND he can play some sick defense. Really the only player I would be satisfied with in any trade with Manny. Ichiro is FANTASTIC.

Pittsburgh will not beat Indy. With or without Roethlisberger. 1) In the dome, and 2) Cincy was really the only team they should have been concerned about. IMO, Indy will go 15-1, the 1 loss coming because they rested players for the final week.

How bout them Bears? Hmmm...I remember picking them to win some big games AND the NFC North before the season started. HOW BOUT THEM BEARS? Meh, I think the Cowboys or Bucs have bigger chances to win the NFC than Eli. Eli has next to no experience in big games. Let alone the playoffs. It's not necessarily his first year, but it's his first year as a full time starter, and we all saw what happened to Big Ben last year. Eli will need a year or two to adjust to playoff atmospheres. If that Giants team sticks together next year, they have a legit chance. But for me, with the Cowboys or Bucs (haha, Sox Fan in Tex won't like this AT ALL) I'm gonna have to pick teh Cowboys. They got the experience with Bledsoe, and one of the most underrated receiving cores in Keyshawn, Glenn, and Price who can make big plays. Not to mention Julius Jones is pretty good too. Now for the AFC, in my view, if the Pats make it into the playoffs, they will at least make the AFC Championship Game. We've seen it time and time again, you don't beat Belichick twice in the same season. Now, matching up against the Colts, I can guarantee it would be a better game than what we witnessed a couple weeks ago. I'm not concerned about the Chargers, because I have faith in Belichick, and he's just a genius anyway (even though Schottenheimer (sp?) does scare me a bit). We've got the experience in the playoffs, and we have Tom effin' Brady. Thoughts about NFC/AFC?
