  1. Oooooh, Dan Haren eh? Looks like the Yanks got their work cut out for them. Then again, Wang has looked pretty solid last season and had a solid spring if I remember correctly. That being said...Go A's!
  2. A dumbass and cheater like Barry Bonds doesn't need to be on the field. What's funny about that, is that people are going to throw syringes at him. You put a player who's the center of the steroids scandal on the field, s***'s gonna happen. People like Bonds are dumbasses. People like that fan are hilarious. Haha, I so just wrote in your form.
  3. Well, I watched it at school on my friend's account with him one day, and I must say the picture looked pretty good. As good as if I was watching on a TV, IMO. Just make sure your internet works. I f***ing hate it when it freezes mid-windup.
  4. Well, I don't think Rocket could ever go play in New York as long as Randy Johnson's there. Randy Johnson would absolutely bust a nut if his light in NY was taken away by Roger. Haha, dude, I hate when the stupid smiley comes up when i try to put a ")" after a "B" to distinguish two different points
  5. What's shakin ?
  6. JT Snow eh? Will be interesting to see him out there. I love Youk, but I think it's time to give Snow a shot now that Youk hasn't really looked comfortable at all these 2 games.
  7. But honestly, why would he go back to New York? If he's torn between retiring and playing, why would he return to a place where he's already accomplished so much? If anywhere, I believe it would be Boston to end his career where it started and possibly win a world series there where he never did, or Houston to stay close to home. What if he goes back to New York and has a bad year? Would he really want to end on a bad note in New York?
  8. Hahah well, in fairness to Bard, it was his first game as a Red Sox, and he was going to be nervous. I bet that's the first time he's tried to catch a knuckleballer in a regular season game, and it also didn't help that Wake never made his pitches to begin with.
  9. But laughing at Dick Cheney shooting, and possibly killing, his friend is just HILARIOUS right?
  10. Did you even read the article? Clemens went INTO a drycleaning store, where the woman who was working there (who we can infer was Asian because of what the story is saying), said she was going to the WBC game. She also said that he wouldn't get his clothes back because she'd be at the game. He didn't say anything about Asians normally working in drycleaning, so you're wrong there. He was IMPRESSED with the devotion the Asian fans showed to the game. I don't even know why ESPN got upset...I don't even hear an upset tone in the story.
  11. Oh, alright. April 12th is when Wells is eligible to be placed back into the starting rotation, correct? And why aren't the Sox using a 5th starter anyway? Couldn't they spot start Papelbon?
  12. Exactly. However, if we have a shot at getting Mirabelli back at the expense of Bard, I would do that in a heartbeat. Still got the faith in Wake. He can really be dominant at times when we need him most. I look forward to his next start. I think his next start is actually Opening Day at Fenway against the Blue Jays.
  13. Actually, I truly believe he was just impressed at how much they enjoy the game. I don't see anything wrong with what he said. I hate how so many people today bite at anything they can to scream "RACISM" or something of the sort. Whatevah. Again, nothing wrong with what he said, just people trying to get attention by claiming he was insensitive.
  14. Ok wow, the set up is ugly. If anyone finds a better picture of Loe let me know so I can fix it. Just post the link or whatever to the picture.
  15. Yeah, Tito did say that. Although, if it's not in the same game where the velocity changes, I don't really think it works after watching last night. I thought it might work before last night, but hey, maybe not so much anymore. However, it is possible that it does work, it's just that Wake never really does well in Texas, which would account for why it didn't look like a great plan.
  16. Well, I might as well get one started. The anticipation of another game, especially Beckett's debut, is really getting to everyone. http://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/6403.jpghttp://bellsouthpwp.net/c/h/chinigor/TALKSOX/VS.GIFhttp://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/434180.jpg http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/bos.gif#19 Josh Beckett (0-0, -.--) http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/tex.gif#43 Kameron Loe (0-0, -.--) Well, the debut of Beckett! Beckett has never before faced Texas, and Kameron Loe has pitched 3 innings against the Red Sox in his career, giving up 5 hits, 2 walks, and has an ERA of 9.00. Let's light this guy up with the offense, and hope Beckett pitches on the ace caliber level we all know he can. Go Sox! Sorry for the small picture of Loe, but there's not a large sized picture of him anywhere. If anyone finds one, let me know so I can re-size it and make this more pretty.
  17. Ayo.
  18. Well, I think Wake will get a good grip on that knuckleball down in Texas. I like the thinking here too. Throw off the Rangers, who happen to be a very good fastball hitting team, with the slow knuckleballer between Schilling and Beckett. They'll have to adjust. If Wake has good command tonight, and the bats continue like yesterday with the likes of Gonzalez and Lowell doing their solid jobs, we'll be 2-0 by the end of the night. Go Sox! Question: Again, why was this thread made so early? Hah, just because you can't make it doesn't mean you always have to start a gamethread. Whatever though, it's all good. Let's get number 2 tonight Wakey.
  19. Ever heard of overkill?
  20. People are considering his Hall of Fame status? I never thought Nomar was HoF candidate, and he never will be. And even if he is, he won't make it.
  21. Boring? It was a boring finals, but my God...George Mason making it to the Final Four along with LSU upsetting Duke and Texas...that's not boring. I would have loved a George Mason/LSU final. That would have been much more interesting.
  22. Haha, always nice to have new members. Welcome, Jake!
  23. Traitor? He didn't go straight from Boston to New York. He stopped in Toronto. I loved beating up on Clemens with the bats when we played him, but I still don't necessarily believe that he is a "traitor."
