  1. If Tavarez got hit with that foul ball pop up, we would have been saved for the night.
  2. If Tavarez comes in and blows this, he should be f***ing released and shot. Please keep Timlin in? Come on Coco! Some insurance please!
  3. Well, they brought in the lefty to keep Coco hitting from the right side. I hope he gets something done here.
  4. WHAT A NIGHT FOR GONZO!!! The Apocalypse is here!!! Now, I wouldn't mind seeing Timlin again. Please, not Tavarez
  5. Ok, we finally have something going, please Trot. This is the first time I've ever said this...but please get on for Gonzo.
  6. Hall of Famer? Lots of people could be legends who aren't hall of famers. I heard a fact that like 1/100 players to ever play baseball will get inducted to the hall of fame. It would make sense I think.
  7. That was refreshing to see. Nice pitching from someone from our bullpen not named Papelbon.
  8. Not really. I was just hoping it would play a part in getting a big hit this time around. I'm getting frustrated. Great game though. EDIT: Actually, I guess it is largely dependent on that. It depends on who's hitting. For a guy like Cora it could work out like that, but not for a guy like Papi.
  9. KASJDBFKASDBFDKASJ! Can we PLEASE SCORE A f***ING RUN??? Nice catch by Hunter.
  10. Well, we have no more Santana or Nathan to worry abuot, so I think Ortiz and Manny can do something big off of Rincon. It's late in the game and there's a lot of pressure on him right now. Papelbon is too f***ing intense to be disturbed by the pressure.
  11. That bobble was stupid, all he had to do was get it in his glove. Doesn't matter though, it was a double anyway. 11th inning please.
  12. **Or the Blue Jays, somehow.
  13. Slider was a bit high, but was still a nasty pitch. Let's go Tek!
  14. I'm not saying that "he doesn't use," I'm just saying that it's quite possible that he's the best hitter to ever play. I haven't heard of any facts that he's a user, so until the point is proven, he's the best all around hitter I've ever seen. I would have said the same about Bonds before this whole steroid thing.
  15. BRACKET ONE Babe Ruth (New York Yankees) vs Joe DiMaggio (New York Yankees) Mickey Mantle (New York Yankees) vs Tris Speaker (Boston Red Sox) BRACKET TWO Ty Cobb (Detroit Tigers) vs Reggie Jackson (Oakland Athletics) Hank Aaron (Milwaukee Braves) vs Willie Mays (San Francisco Giants) BRACKET THREE Ted Williams (Boston Red Sox) vs Carl Yastrzemski (Boston Red Sox) Stan Musial (St. Louis Cardinals) vs Frank Robinson (Cincinnati Reds) BRACKET FOUR Pete Rose (Cincinnati Reds) vs Ken Griffey Jr. (Seattle Mariners) Ricky Henderson (Oakland Athletics) vs Manny Ramirez (Boston Red Sox)
  16. Great. What a f***ing pitcher's duel.
  17. It's true. I think knowing he's been a Sox forever and that he's the captain is why not too many people are very frustrated with him. It is kind of annoying though that when he gets to the plate you think of a .259 hitting captain
  18. Well, I wouldn't have started it if we had a game yesterday. It's just fun to have one of these up to talk about.
