    Nah, not worried a bit. He's the last person we should be worrying about. Actually, I take that back. I worry even less about Ortiz and Manny.

    Well, whether we would like to accept it or not, he's looked really good at times. His TB outing was impressive until Ortiz made the error, and it went downhill from there. Besides, he's better than any of our other 4th or 5th starter options. I'll take Wells over Johnson/Snyder all day long. By the way, I'm loving Snyder in the bullpen.

    He looks fine and healthy when he's out there. He probably needed a couple starts to get back into form, and he'll probably be a solid pitcher for us down the stretch.

    Why are people so easy to give up on Wells? Give him 2 starts at the major league level, which have already come and gone, and see what happens from here on out.

    It's amazing how the Yankees were able to keep up with the Sox throughout the season. They made every move necessary to keep their championship hopes alive for THIS SEASON. The Red Sox basically threw their hopes for this season down the gutter by not doing anything to help this team at all. No trade, nothing at all to help us. Meanwhile, the Yankees have kids like Melky Cabrera and Andy Phillips step up, and they go out and get Abreu and Lidle. That is what champions do. The way they've played through this season while missing Sheffield and Matsui, basically 2 of their top 3 reliable bats, is absolutely impressive. I hate the Yankees with everything I have, I really do. But goddamn, do I respect them.

    The Guardians should have swept us in 4. Those 2 games that we won against the Guardians weren't even the Sox winning it. It was more Carmona just losing it for the Guardians. It's not like we even put that much effort into winning those games (except for Ortiz of course).

    I don't miss Nixon. He should have been benched awhile ago. Pena's power is more appealing than Nixon's lack of it. Isn't WMP's EqA 4 point higher than Nixon's? I saw that somewhere on this board.

    I'd love to see that if this team was actually playing half decently. We're 3 games back in the east and 1.5 out of the wild card because we've free fallen out of first in the east and 3 games back will look like 8 by the end of next weekend at this rate. And that 1.5 will be 5.5. There's nothing to be optimistic about. Nothing.
