    Well, at least the run scored. I want to see Wells back out there for the bottom half of the 8th, and I want him to go back out for the 9th. But, I don't get that call, AT ALL. How is he out? I bet Manny wouldn't have slid even if his knee WAS 100%.

    Yeah, and what about Matsuzaka joining the picture too? Ichiro, Matsuzaka, Matsui all in the same rivalry... Matsuzaka is pretty much guaranteed to go to the Yanks or Red Sox. Those are the only two teams that will be able to shell out the cash...let alone the rights to even talk to him.

    God helps us. The way this team is getting ripped apart both on the field and with injuries, I'm surprised that we haven't seen more players like Murphy coming up to get some ABs.

    I never thought of that. Hahaha makes me want it even more. However, at this point, I'd go after Vernon Wells or Andruw Jones before any of those free agents. We have the cash and talent to get it done. It would probably be easier to get A. Jones because of the trans-league trade. Like riverside said, I doubt the Jays would trade Wells to a division rival. I'd offer Coco/Hansen/Murphy + cash to both the Braves and the Jays, and see if either of them bite. The only downside to this (with all the salary details needing to be worked out as to who pays what), is seeing if that would leave us with enough money to sign players like Schmidt, Matsuzaka and Meche...

    Probably correct. That's assuming that he strikes out a batter, though. That would be a nightmare.

    At least it's the Angels that's beating you though. It was a pretty terrible nightmare when the Royals themselves were kicking the s*** out of us.
