  1. Guys, please pick. There's nothing to lose and you don't have to accept the money if you don't want, just join so we can get the required amount of entrants.
  2. This thread is awesome.
  3. 2 outs away.
  4. Chris Young is taking a no-hitter into the 9th.
  5. Mo mostly, but I respect Jeter, Bernie, Paul O'Neill, Matsui and Mussina too.
  6. Wouldn't be surprised to see them make a run for Aramis if they happen to make the playoffs this year. They may feel that he could help put them improve tremendously, not to mention that he'd be filling the shoes of David Bell...which isn't too hard to do. I hadn't thought about Ramirez to the Phillies, but it makes sense and it's interesting. Nice thought. If that Phillies team gets better (and a signing like Aramis Ramirez would definitely do that), the NL East could be a bit more competitive next year.
  7. Mostly, everyone's friends here. You'll like it here, I can tell already. Welcome to the site!
  8. The only unsettling thing is that we've seen nights like this before against good teams as well
  9. Clemens clearly looks like he still has gas in the tank. I could watch him for one more year in Boston as a stop gap for Buchholz's spot in the rotation in '08.
  10. Well, he should have homered against Minnesota if we weren't playing f***ing pinball off of the speakers in the Metrodome trash can But congrats on 51, Papi!!
  11. I couldn't help but let out a little laugh. I guess having 5 years of no championships means you choke every year... The fact that they're there enough for people to start thinking that they choke is impressive. You can't win every time you go, but you can go every time. They've pretty much gone every time.

  13. What does that quote have anything to do with the Angels wanting A-Rod?
  14. ...only because he went 2 for 2 tonight?
  15. Welcome to TalkSox!
  16. Just like the baseball league? I kid, I kid. I know you own basketball. Anyway, I'm not very good at this, but I'll give it a shot...
  17. I think Oklahoma needs to let it go, and get on with their season, though I do feel sorry for them. Their season was single-handedly ruined by an abomination of a referee crew even after they watched the replays! And then they got the pass interference call wrong! I know that you can say that Oklahoma didn't get the job done, especially since they were still winning even when the bad calls were made, but that can only go so far. That being said, they have a right to have that gripe and to want those officials out of a job, but to cancel their games against Pac-10 opponents is just nonsense.
  18. If we can get Soriano, get him. I don't care if Pedroia's coming up. If Pedroia can be half as good as Soriano I'd be happy.
  19. I'm just that damn good. If I picked this week like I did in a pool I have with my friends, I would have been 15 for 16 in games this week. Of course, St. Louis loses to San Fran AGAIN, keeping me from a perfect 16 And it's Zach. Not Zak.
  20. Well, that guy is playing in the NFL again. However, I still think the one that I posted is the worst football injury I've ever seen.
  21. What's been up with Hoffman? He's been really shaky at some points this season. Rudy sucks. It's a matter of time until Wells punches him or something. He's had to deal with Rudy's s*** all year.
  22. Damn! Haha, thanks anyway SFOC.
  23. I would love to see him as a full time reliever for '07. He's been quite impressive in his time with the club.
