  1. 1-2. ONE MORE STRIKE. Haha, I'm talking to myself.
  2. Goddddd. Melky singles. Damon to 3rd. GET THE LAST OUT K-ROD. Abreu up. Does he come through or continue to be the rally killer?
  3. Damon singles and advances to second with defensive indifference...Melky up.
  4. Cano down on strikes. 2 out.
  5. Giambi down swinging! 1 out in the 9th with the Angels up 3-1.
  6. What the hell? Abreu was batting leadoff today? Jeter flies out to Matthews. 3-1 Angels going to the 8th.
  7. Hold on, I'll figure out how to do it in a minute. [youtube=Dirty Harry]YykfDFEk3y8 EvilDonut, if you quote my post, you can see how the "youtube" code works for future reference.
  8. There's no such thing as a stupid question, my friend. Well, sometimes there are, but this isn't one of them.
  9. And they have a "Ber-nie Will-iams" chant going on I love it.
  10. Hahahahaha, Damon's arm SUCKS. 10-3 Angels.
  11. What did Kotchman and Kendrick do?
  12. Great play by Murphy and Napoli. Posada out by a mile at the plate.
  13. Posada has been playing out of his mind thus far.
  14. Holy s*** what a play by Kotchman!!
  15. RBI double for Matthews...5-2 Angels still no outs with men on 2nd and 3rd. DeSalvo getting a nice earful from the boo birds.
  16. DeSalvo throws one right down the pipe and Vlad takes him opposite field and brings in a run. 4-2 Angels, runners on corners with no outs for Gary Matthews Jr. DeSalvo's lucky Vlad didn't take him yard. I mean, that was right down the heart of the plate.
  17. So, for the Texas series, we have this: Matsuzaka Wakefield Tavarez Then for Cleveland, I'm assuming it's this: Schilling Beckett Matsuzaka Now, it's interesting because we have an off-day on Thursday the 31st. Do we skip Tavarez's start and go: Wakefield Schilling Beckett Or should we just go Wakefield Tavarez Schilling Like we just did? I personally would like to see: Wakefield Tavarez Beckett But that would never, ever, EVER happen (I say this because I'm so uneased by Schilling's suckiness this month, and we really need this series). However, part of me thinks that we should get a spot-starter in against Cleveland to push Matsuzaka's start to Friday against the Yankees, then put Wakefield's start on Saturday with Tavarez bringing up the rear. I really would rather see Tavarez pitching in this series than Schilling...I never thought I would ever say that. Anyway, pull up a schedule and think about it for a few minutes. What do you think the Red Sox should/will do?
  18. Gom's suddenly a bit optimistic... not too long ago he was proclaiming the Yankees dead. What happened? We faced your 3 best pitchers this series, and you faced Wakefield, Tavarez, and Schilling. Not THAT impressive. You can bank the fact that the Red Sox expect nothing less than returning the favor, at the minimum, next weekend. If that happens or if we sweep you, you're in trouble. If the Yanks take 2/3 again, well, it'll start to get interesting. I have lost no faith in this club at all. You never see a lineup like the Yankees' unless you play them, so as long as we keep feasting on the teams like we have been, there's nothing to worry about. This whole next week will be a challenge though. The Rangers' pitchers suck, yes, but that offense is starting to click. They've had a boatload of homeruns recently, and Cleveland is obviously no team to sneeze at. The Sox really need to take this series against the Rangers while the Yanks have their hands full with the Angels. For some reason Anaheim always seems to give the Yanks fits. Drop the Yanks back down into a double digit deficit and I'll be happy. Then we have the Yanks for the weekend and Beckett will be back by then. Should be interesting.
  19. Well, the Sox have played one more game than the Yanks so far, and you're going to have to win that one game for it to truly be single digits. Sure, the Yanks got going in the right direction with the series win, but you're still sitting 9.5 back. I honestly didn't expect to take 2. I wanted the Sox to take 1, and that would be a success for us. You gained 1 game on us after this series. And you're still pretty damn far behind. Let me ask you one thing though to make sure that you're still holding true to what you've said: If the Yanks' deficit is double digits by the end of June 3rd, do you still think that the Sox will most likely win the East?
  20. You mistook me. What I meant to say was that I have no idea how it took this long for his ERA to get up there. Jacko, you really need to watch more of his outings. He sucks. .344 opponent BA this month (I think).
  21. Doug f***ing Mientkiewicz just took you yard, Schilling. I think you are seriously the worst pitcher in our rotation, which has Julian Tavarez in it. Jesus Christ.
  22. His ERA is now at 4.05 after the first 3 innings.
  23. Did you see his last start? He loaded the bases twice in the first two innings and got bailed out without giving up a run. You watch the Yankees more than the Sox obviously, but watching Schilling pitch this month has driven me to the edge. I hope he turns it around, I'm rooting for him, but he's way, WAY, past his prime.
  24. I love the guy, but he sucks. He's not even a shadow of what he used to be. This is why you DON'T commit a large amount of money to an aging pitcher before seeing what he can do. Thanks for everything Schilling, thanks for '04 ... but we gotta let you go after this year, championship or not.
  25. f*** this league and its commissioner. This whole lottery crap blows.
