  1. I know you were, lol. That's why I said "some guy." Maybe he had some issue...the fans were helping him through it instead of booing him for butchering it.
  2. I turned the TV on and some guy was butchering the anthem. Why was he singing it?
  3. Coco's finger is bothering him again. They're probably going to let him rest it a bit and see what Ellsbury can do.
  4. Frustrating win last night but the W is all that matters. Beckett's out to shut the Rangers down again tonight...yeah. That's pretty much it. Go Sox...WIN! Game Info: Date: Saturday, June 30th, 2007 Teams: Texas Rangers (32-47) @ Boston Red Sox (49-29) First Pitch: 7:05pm EDT Venue: Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts TV: NESN Starting Pitchers: http://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/7537.jpghttp://bellsouthpwp.net/c/h/chinigor/TALKSOX/VS.GIFhttp://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/6403.jpg http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/tex.gif#55 Robinson Tejeda (5-7, 6.57) http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/bos.gif#19 Josh Beckett (11-1, 3.07) Mojo of the day: We all remember this song. Journey told us to keep believing... and we did! Now, to pay tribute, we're doing some Family Guy-style mojo. [youtube=Family Guy-Journey Mojo]FlKMPFxDQL8 JOURNEY-FAMILY GUY MOJO!
  5. Holy f*** Thumper. It's not adam. Didn't I say this already?
  6. The schillingouttheks mojo is back. Get some damn wins. Thank God we're back home...that road trip was somewhat brutal. Seattle sucks. I hate Safeco Field. For some reason it seems like we never win there. Anyway, now we have 4 with the Rangers at home. Their suck-ass pitching should hopefully jumpstart this team and get them clicking on all cylinders again. Wakefield sucks against the Rangers, but the Rangers are just so bad and their pitcher tonight is just so terrible that he could end up a winner tonight. Oh, s***, I forgot...Mirabelli's in the lineup. Whatever.Go Sox....WIN! Game Info: Date: Friday, June 29th, 2007 Teams: Texas Rangers (32-46) @ Boston Red Sox (48-29) First Pitch: 7:05pm EDT Venue: Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts TV: NESN Starting Pitchers: http://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/5650.jpghttp://bellsouthpwp.net/c/h/chinigor/TALKSOX/VS.GIFhttp://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/4906.jpg http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/tex.gif#45 Jamey Wright (1-1, 7.43) http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/bos.gif#49 Tim Wakefield (7-8, 4.52) Mojo of the day: We all know that steers and queers come from Texas, drill sargent. Geeze... [youtube=Family Guy Mojo]24VAgIGDmxE FAMILY GUY MOJO!
  7. And therein lies my problem. We're rebuilding. How can you pass up the 5th pick in arguably one of the deepest drafts in a long, long time for ANYONE except for Shawn Marion?
  8. You have a long way to go.
  9. I think that does make him insanely f***ing clutch...he just has terrible relievers lately.
  10. That's disgusting.
  11. Garnett is not the way to go here. We're building a team with a strong, young foundation. Why would we trade that away? Besides, it's not like Jeff is a f***ing push-over. He'll be doing for the Celtics next year what Garnett could do (maybe more). Garnett can't be the focal point of a young team like this. You have to go young, and stay young.
  12. I agree that they're a much better team than last year, but you can't ignore the fact that this team is VERY defensively suspect right now. They're very potent offensively, but not to the point where their defensive flaws can be ignored (see: Phoenix Suns - and the Celtics aren't even in the same galaxy as this team). Look, the trade's just not that good. Sure, they'll be more exciting to watch this year and in the east they could make the playoffs. But they're not going to even sniff a championship with the way they're constructed right now. Ray Allen is completely the wrong direction for this team to be taking. When we finally start to click, he's going to be long gone.
  13. I felt a bit better about the trade after I saw that we got the 35th pick in addition to Ray Allen. Again, I don't like giving up the 5th pick in as deep of a draft as this was, but whatever. It just doesn't make sense to me to give that up when you know perfectly well that Ray Allen won't be around when this team starts to click. The Celtics are better this year, sure, but they're not even close to contending... why bring in Allen at 32-years-old? Our defense is a complete liability. I hated the Pruitt pick when it happened because he was another f***ing guard. I wouldn't have minded it at 35, and now that we have Big Baby Davis anyway it doesn't look so bad, but during picks 33 and 34 I was really starting to wonder if we were ever going to draft a big man. Thankfully, they did. I still would have kept the 5th pick though. The only trade I wouldn't have minded would be if we were able to keep Jefferson while getting Marion like in one of the rumored deals. Guess not.
  14. If the Celtics draft Sean Williams with their second-round pick, I'll be singing a much happier tune tonight.
  15. Yeah...but by rooting for Phoenix you know what a lack of defense can do. The Celtics have nowhere close to the Suns' offense obviously (the Suns can get by because of how dominant they are offensively), and mix that in with the Celtics' total lack of defense... I hate it. I'm seriously thinking about finding out if Ainge is in Boston right now.
  16. I don't like the trade. This is the deepest draft to come around in a long, long time and Ainge traded our pick, plus Wally and Delonte, for an older player. Don't like it. They should have drafted a big guy. And lol @ Milwaukee drafting Yi.
  17. Thank God we're out of Seattle. We're still AT LEAST 10.5 when we play tomorrow despite being swept. I love it. Today's a new day and I feel better. We never ever ever ever ever win in Seattle. I really don't know what the problem is. Anyway, get back home and start winning again.
  18. It's not adam. I think this kid is from Virginia.
  19. I knew he wasn't 33. I believe that he's 13.
  20. KTF1229, do you want to be f***ed in the ass after this loss?
