    I should have made myself clear when I responded to your other post. I too would have traded Pierce, kept the pick, and built around Jefferson. Unfortunately, the direction in which Ainge is taking this team suggests that they're going to trade Jefferson for O'Neal or Garnett...which I'm not happy about. He f***ed up when he made the trade; by doing so, he screwed this team's future.

    I never wanted them to trade for Allen. I was pissed when I heard about it. They should have kept the 5th pick in this draft...it was deep as hell.

    Whoops...I forgot to say that we should either let Wake go (not pick up the option) or pick up the option and move him to the bullpen. Tek can handle the knuckler for 2 or 3 innings. He is not nearly as valuable at first base. 25 homers out of C > 25 homers out of 1B.

    If they get Garnett, they have a legitimate chance to win the championship. Unfortunately, they'd have to give up Al if they even want to be talked to, so they're in a pickle. A move like this goes against everything Ainge has done so far. Look...I'm all for making a run at it, but not at the expense of having another shithole for a team 5 years from now.

    I get annoyed every game and I keep saying the same thing. I try to keep telling myself they'll break out of it soon but they prove me wrong every single f***ing time. They need a shake up. They need A-Rod and his bat in this lineup next year, and trade for a big bat to jump start this offense and into next year.

    With Tek declining and a black hole in our near future at the C position, I think the Sox have to trade Ellsbury for Saltalamacchia and platoon both of them at C next season with Salty taking over in '09.

    A-Rod just knocked in his 80th RBI on the season. He's on pace for ~170. That's f***ing ridiculous. A-Rod in a Boston uni next year? Yes please. Nice hit Papi.
