    Awesome Lugo. RISP for you now, Coco! I don't fault Pena for trying it, but he shouldn't have slid. He's a HUMONGOUS human being and should have just bulldozed the catcher. The chances of the catcher holding onto that ball are slim.

    He sucks when he's on the road...he's got a 7.45 ERA away as opposed to a 3.42 at home. The Yanks should win that game, but the Angels are just an absolute thorn in the Yanks' side. I'm not saying you won't take the series, but recently people would have to believe that the Angels will take the series. It wouldn't surprise me to see the Yanks take it or sweep though, especially with the offense clicking again.

    And I can't say I mind. Give Youk an extended time off and get him back healthy for the second part of the season. With this lead, we need to be extra-cautious with potential long-term injuries. I'm sure it wouldn't kill him to give us one AB late in the game if we need a PH (and you know he'd probably be the first one to tell Tito to give him the at bat), so all is well.

    Fine with me. I don't really care if they nab Santana next year....they have too many problems for them to fix. Santana's obviously a step in the right direction, but he's not going to save them.

    Lopez, Delcarmen, Donnelly, Okajima and Papelbon have all been pretty reliable for us this year. Adding Lidge in a non-closer role would definitely make me the most confident in our bullpen that I've been in a very long time.
