  1. f*** this s*** team. When are they going to be done playing .500 baseball? They f***ing suck. I'm really starting to get pissed off. I was having a pretty good day until this f***ing team decided to break my heart AGAIN.
  2. I feel like I have a damn good team, but they underachieve. What the hell is wrong with my team? I look at it and wonder why the hell I'm in 9th place. It's annoying as f***. Granted, my pitching is weak in areas, but my offense should be mashing.
  3. Tomorrow looks like a great game. Now would be a good time for Halladay to start pitching like Halladay again. Halladay vs. Pettitte tomorrow.
  4. Fitzy's the man. I laugh harder at him than some good stand-up comedy.
  5. That's pretty funny. Awesome movie.
  6. That's too bad. Who's pitching tomorrow?
  7. ... he earned a start in the majors with those numbers? Don't worry. The Sox will probably find a way to make him look like a Cy Young award winner.
  8. So uh, is a homer here too much to ask? Guess so. Thomas has had a terrible night. Overbay, take advantage of the short porch in RF please.
  9. Glaus has been absolutely raking in this game.
  10. There. That makes more sense.
  11. Matt Stairs PH'ing. He's been swinging a VERY hot bat lately. And Proctor looked pretty terrible that last AB.
  12. Your hatred for him is absolutely hilarious.
  13. Gabbard's really making a case to bump Tavarez out of the rotation once Curt comes back. Obviously I'd rather have them trade for another proven SP, but if they decide to get a bat instead of a pitcher, Gabbard should be staying with the big boys.
  14. Nice start for Gabbard. Let's get some early runs please.
  15. I don't recognize him right away, but I think he looks familiar.
  16. It's nice to see a non-JV lineup.
  17. I'd trade Hawpe or Rowand for Smoltz, but I don't know I guess I value the players a bit differently. Schilling probably won't be back until the first week of August and even then who knows if he'll be what we want him to be? I just have trouble giving up someone of Holliday's caliber for two guys who are coming off the DL. I know Smoltz is coming off on Wednesday, but I need more security if I'm giving up Holliday. Put it this way: If I'm giving up Holliday, I'd expect to get something like Johan Santana in return.
  18. Regardless of how bad they are or aren't, they're a team that the Sox should sweep. Period.
  19. It isn't just the 3 rings, it's the overall success. Ortiz is definitely up there, and this is tough as hell, but Brady is the correct pick. That said, how the hell is Ortiz an 8 seed? Whatever. I don't care about this that much anyway. It's an incredibly stupid way to take up time on Sports Center.
  20. You mean the way our offense has looked since the beginning of June? They've had good games every now and then, but they've been incredibly frustrating for most of the past month and a half. They absolutely mash for a few nights and then go into a week-long slump (sometimes a bit longer). It's frustrating as hell.
  21. It's gotta be a lame spam attempt.
  22. Fair enough, lol. I like Smoltz, but I just don't think him alone (especially coming off of the DL) is enough for me to trade Holliday for him. Even if Schilling is added (I have no idea if he's going to be a shitfest when he comes back).
  23. It's intriguing, I'll give you that. The only problem is that Holliday gives me TREMENDOUS contributions every day, whereas I'd get a contribution from Smoltz every fifth day. Not only that, but he's coming off the DL. I'd need some more security in the form of another good pitcher if I were to give someone like Holliday up. I'll throw in Chris Ray or Wickman or Wheeler (not Saito...I can't afford to give him up) to give you saves because you desperately need them for another pretty good starter. EDIT: I sent you something on the lines of what I'm thinking about. Feel free to counter it if you want. This is tough because you don't have many batters at all on your team.
