  1. ...check the thread that scaffolds made... Chris, she still thinks you're cute. I'm an expert with psychology and human interaction. Trust me.
  2. LOWELL!!!!! Youk not quitting on that routine ground ball is what let this happen. 5-4 Sox! EDIT: Sorry BoSox21, didn't see your post lol.
  3. Manny's arrived. Now he just has to request a trade and we should be good to go.
  4. Nice to see that from Drew. C'mon Papi...tie the game with one swing of the bat!
  5. I guess. But it's just foolish for Williams to not have accepted any offer that included Buchholz. It's pretty much known that Buchholz is one of, if not the one, top pitching prospects in all of baseball.
  6. Right...like getting Joba in a package from the Yanks could possibly make a better package than one composed of Ellsbury, Bowden and Buchholz. I'll re-word my statement then: The fact that Kenny Williams put this offer on hold in the first place is what kills the credibility.
  7. Annnnnnnnnnnnd another run scores.
  8. f***ing hell Julian. Tie game. Get Snyder up.
  9. Julian...cruise control. You have to limit the damage. Throwing a wild pitch to score a run and then walking the next batter is NOT LIMITING THE DAMAGE.
  10. Uh, Julian, can you PLEASE HAVE A f***ING INNING WITHOUT GETTING INTO A JAM? THANKS.
  11. 3-0 Rays thanks to a 2-RBI triple by Josh Wilson.
  12. 1-0 Rays on an Upton sac fly in the bottom of the 2nd.
  13. Alright JT... way to induce the DP.
  14. Youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuk with the two-bagger. HOW YA LIKE THAT SCAFF?!?
  15. HEY! MANNY! I REMEMBER YOU! 2-0 good guys! Wow, on the replay you really notice how beautiful of a swing he has. Turned the hips and kept his hands inside and popped that inside pitch outta the park. Great job Manny.
  16. Like you said...it's the first inning...
  17. I just don't believe this one bit. The fact that Kenny Williams rejected that offer in the first place is what kills the credibility. If I were Kenny Williams, I would have driven Buehrle to the airport myself. I hope you told this guy that you were talking to that Williams is a f***ing idiot if this is true.
  18. Are you sure that you're not just trying to rationalize the fact that you once said Youkilis is a bench player at best? I'm looking at these "basic stats" that you laid out and I don't see a batting average, an OBP, a SLG, nor an OPS. So, I'll provide those for you: AVG/OBP/SLG/OPS Youkilis: .325/.420/.498/.918 Lugo: .201/.273/.300/.573 You left out a big part of the basic stats that prove to make quite a difference, didn't you? It's also good to note that Lugo's RBIs come at the expense of an out...mostly the RBI groundout. I just don't think you can stand Youkilis.
  19. I think that guy's full of it. You talked to him on AIM? How do you know he's even reliable? Offering Buchholz, Bowden, and Ellsbury for Buehrle goes against this FO's philosophy in so many ways that it's unthinkable to rationally assume that this is/was true. If Theo did that, the lynching mob would be out for his ass even if this team went onto win the WS after his lynching. Buehrle can be had for A LOT less.
  20. Because his knee probably isn't as bad as my knee was. Besides, in the article that BoSox34 posted it says that his knee is bothering him more this year than last year. As long as the inflammation is down he won't need it immediately. The fact that it's starting to bother him more though is reason for him to have surgery this offseason. He also has the best doctors in the world.
  21. Ortiz has a torn meniscus, eh? I had the same thing before I had arthroscopic surgery. I was able to finish my baseball season luckily...if it's not bothering him too much or causing inflammation, he should be okay until the offseason. He has to be REALLY careful with his movement when he's not stretched out though. I thought my knee was fine (pre-surgery) until I woke up one morning and my knee locked on me. I couldn't change the angle of my leg...it was literally stuck at a 100-degree angle. It was terrible and HIGHLY painful. Then I had an MRI (they had to force my knee more straight because they couldn't fit my leg into the MRI as it was...that was one of the worst experiences of my life). Hopefully he just gets through the season. He really shouldn't try to start playing through too much pain though. A meniscus problem can be terrible to his knees considering that, at his age, he can't have it repaired. The torn piece needs to be taken out.
  22. I'm sorry...I have to fix the title. It just looks so awkward lol.
