  1. I don't care which game we win, just win one of them. It would be nice to obliterate the Rocket, though. Beckett's going tonight, and it would be nice if he gave the Yankees a pitching performance reminiscent of 2003. Is that too much to ask? Go Sox...WIN! Game Info: Date: Wednesday, August 29th, 2007 Teams: Boston Red Sox (80-52) @ New York Yankees (73-59) First Pitch: 7:05pm EDT Venue: Yankee Stadium, Bronx, New York TV: NESN / ESPN 2 Starting Pitchers: http://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/6403.jpghttp://bellsouthpwp.net/c/h/chinigor/TALKSOX/VS.GIFhttp://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/3340.jpg http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/bos.gif#19 Josh Beckett (16-5, 3.21) http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/nyy.gif#22 Roger Clemens (5-5, 4.34) Mojo of the day: More Dave. If you're sick of it, then get your own mojo. [youtube=Dave Matthews Band - When The World Ends]doT5uZLInWc DAVE MATTHEWS BAND MOJO!
  2. Anything's possible with Joe Torre. In a way I'm glad that Joba didn't pitch, because jacko might have gone down the river, unlike Owen Wilson. EDIT: I just realized how terrible that kind of was. My bad.
  3. Welcome to the site! Glad to have ya.
  4. The Moose must be very pleased.
  5. I'm not even that upset that they lost. It's fine. Get them tomorrow with Beckett and just at least win one game. If they're still 7 back at the end of this series, we'll be fine.
  6. 14-0, lol. I hope this surpasses the 22-0 romp that the Guardians put on the Yanks a few years back.
  7. 8-0. This is so beautiful.
  8. HOF Edwar Ramirez! HOF! HOF! 7-0.
  9. 6-0. I can taste the 8-game lead.
  10. 4-0. Mussina sucks so much ass.
  11. 3-0. Mussina really, really sucks.
  12. Guillen absolutely smoked one into deep center, but Melky tracked it down (would have been a triple, maybe an inside-the-park homer, if Damon was out there). 1-0 on the sac fly, and Verlander just sat the Yankee bats down 1-2-3 in the second. He looks pretty sharp tonight. However, the most recent trend for the Tigers' staff has been to suck ass after getting off to good starts, so I'm praying that Verlander pitches like he should.
  13. Celts signed James Posey. Not anything to get overly excited about obviously, but he can be pretty valuable coming off the bench with his versatility and defense. Link.
  14. The only way he can redeem himself is by becoming an animal rights activist while donating millions of dollars to fix animal abuse.
  15. The game is on ESPN 2 tonight for anyone who's interested.
  16. Hey Ozzie, our 2004 ALCS and 2004 World Series wins were much more impressive than "your" sweep, you **********. Get off your f***ing soapbox and just pray you don't lose your job.
  17. The Yanks aren't done, but it's very close. Consult me after this upcoming series with them. If we so much as take 1 game in the Bronx (that would only let them gain 1 game on us), then I think the likelihood of us taking the East gets stronger. The Yanks need to sweep us for me to start feeling a bit more uncomfortable. If the Sox take 2/3, it's over.
  18. Scaff, what are your thoughts on Zak Farkes (if you've ever seen him play)? He played baseball at my high school and went to Harvard and broke the home run record, then re-broke his own record a year later. He's basically a minor deity at my school. Thanks!
  19. Hahaha. As far as Everett goes, we can definitely dance with them. They're a very, very strong program, but we did some great things against them as well. It was a 10-on-10 scrimmage, which basically means that one team goes on offense for 10 plays, and then goes on defense for 10, and it keeps switching until the end. We gave up a big play on Everett's first offensive play, but held them on the goal line for 8 plays until they were able to punch it in. That was pretty promising. All of the other public schools in Eastern Mass have something to worry about in Everett, but I'm not telling them anything new.
  20. Haha, we f***ing slaughtered them. Nothing like shoving it in the Hawk's face. Onto New York. If the Yankees don't sweep us, then I think their hopes to win the East aren't even on life support.
