  1. ...and now the tying run is at the plate. Stairs is good at hitting lefties.
  2. Well, this game is very nice.
  3. The $15 sounds good to me too. I just need your address as well, Rick.
  4. Unless we can get our hands on A-Rod. Look, I would have loved Lowell to be the 5-hole hitter all year as well, but that's hindsight abuse. Besides, our record's pretty good anyway, eh?
  5. And Jesse Litch just don't know how to act.
  6. LOWELLLLL!!!!! Second half MVP of the Red Sox. Is there any doubt? That's what we can run support for Dice-K.
  7. I bet you didn't expect the Mariners to mash your pitchers either, though.
  8. This is why you don't worry when you get swept by the Yanks and still have a 5-game lead when all is said and done. There's a lot of baseball left to be played and there's still every opportunity for the Yanks to play like s***.
  9. Those Pats fans are idiots. Like the Red Sox, they jumped on when they won a lot. I promise you that not all of us are like that. Some of the fans on here that got all over Giambi are being pretty lenient with Harrison. Isn't this pretty much the same situation? When Giambi confessed, a lot of people didn't care that he was forthcoming and honest - they just wanted him fried and out of baseball. Now, those same people (now that it has happened at home) are saying it was his choice, he was being a man about it, etc etc... Guess what guys? It's the same situation. You can't grind Giambi and then turn around and be light on Harrison. For the record, I feel I've been pretty consistent with my stance. Giambi should have served his punishment and when he came back, he better have helped that team in the best way he could (legally, of course). Same with Harrison, he better serve his suspension and not complain, and when he's eligible to return he better be in the best shape of his life and help this team like he never has before. Because if I get anything short of that, I'll be the first one to rip him a new one.
  10. Welcome to TalkSox. Which schools in MA are you looking at? I'm a senior too and BC is my top choice.
  11. Mariners are now 1 game back, and tied in the loss column (just to clarify for jacko).
  12. Yankees lose! THUUUUUUUUHHHHHH YANKEES LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE! Lead in the WC cut to 1 game.
  13. That blocked field goal never should have happened. If you watch it, one of the Wolverines on the left side (where the App. State defender came from who blocked the kick) f***ed up his assignment. The coaches ALWAYS, ALWAYS teach you on the field goal unit to take your first step INSIDE (so your feet form a wide base) so you don't get beat there. You always make the defender(s) go around you to the outside, because they won't get to the holder in time. If they get inside of you, they'll be there quicker than you can say "crap". The player stepped to the OUTSIDE instead because that's where the guy on his head was. If he just stepped inside, that guy on his head would have had to go around him to the outside and the guy who blocked the kick never would have gotten through that open hole because he would have run into the guy who was blocking instead. That's just a stupid fundamental error on the Wolverines' part. Now, obviously it's not a given that the kicker even makes the field goal, but the kick would have gotten off clean and had a chance if he just did what he was taught. How about that DeSean Jackson (Cal's punt returner)? What a sick return.
  14. 6-1 now. It's beautiful.
  15. Haha, yeah I do. Normally my fantasy teams always make the playoffs in one of the top two spots in our leagues, but for some reason my baseball team sucked ass this year. My guys would jump out to a great start out of the gate, and then always blow the lead and either win by a small margin or just lose outright. It was frustrating as hell.
  16. I'm pumped about my team. QB: Vince Young / Eli Manning (f*** the Madden curse, and Eli has been great in pre-season) RB: Larry Johnson / Deuce McAllister / Willis McGahee / Tatum Bell / Chester Taylor WR: Chad Johnson / Javon Walker / Darrell Jackson / Drew Bennett / Antwaan Randle El TE: Jeremy Shockey K: Josh Brown DEF: Denver I should roll with this team. I have 5 starting RBs that can get big points. If you are weak at RB, send me an offer. I really really love my team.
  17. 5-1. Pena's a beast.
  18. Yanks now down 5-1 after a 3-run jack from Pena.
  19. Jacoby Ellsbury with his first major league bomb!!!! 2-0!
  20. I still can't believe that happened. If Michigan doesn't beat Ohio State this year, I just don't see how Carr will survive there.
