  1. Screw Damon. Oh I feel so bad that I stacked my wallets with a meaningless 12 million more cause it makes that much of a difference when you're going to make 40 million to begin with. Stick it where the sun don't shine Johnny. I hope you have the worst four years of your life in NY as the Sox win four in a row (more wishful thinking than likely reality, the championships I mean). If you really cared that much about Sox nation you easily could have taken the paycut to stay here. You and you're wife, who I liken to Mia Hamm, can go screw. Bring on the Coco.
  2. good luck billy. a classy guy who just quietly went about and did what he had to do every game. my fave billy mueller moment tho, would be the two granny's (one from each side of the plate) in Texas.
  3. bye bye bye rent an error. you guys just didnt wanna listen to me. i told u this guy was a bum. and the sox agreed. good move.
  4. We'll get someone to replace Theo and he'll do fine. And DAN SHAUGHNESSY IS THE BIGGEST DOUCHEBAG IN BOSTON. This guy never hesitates to rip the Red Sox a new arse hole. I hope one day someone just goes Kenny Rogers on that d***.
  5. Cant wait for Manny to leave. You said he needs to hire someone? I'll take him for free to Logan for his one- way ticket out of here.
  6. Yes
  7. First Renteria sucks, can't reiterate that enough waste of $10 million. Second the Sox need a lefty starter (if Wells doesn't return). Any chance they can package Kazmir in with Huff? That'd be nice. Third, yes, they do need to get better at the fundamentals. Bunting, stealing, sacrificing. Not leaving the bases load with no outs. Fourth, a new third base coach wouldn't hurt. Finally, a Dave Roberts type player. The Sox really need some speed.
  8. There is a reason that every team A- Rod leaves does better (short term anyway) and a reason teams don't win with him.
  9. I wouldn't mind seeing Baldelli in CF. As for Nixon, you can't get rid of the dirt dog. His bat was a little quieter this year, but he's still a threat at the plate, plus he has a good fielding upside. As for Arroyo, I wouldn't get rid of him. He can pitch from the pen and the starting job, so he's sort of a utility pitcher. Plus, if Miller has injury problems again next year, it would be nice to have a guy who can win some games, just in case.
  10. There's only one good manager (maybe two or three others who are decent) in baseball. That man is Bobby Cox. No he doesn't have a lot of rings, but Cox still gets the Braves in the playoffs every year, and that is impressive in its own right. I must say I was impressed with Guillen's managing skills, but other than that I could really care less who manages this team. This is a team with plenty of talent that almost anyone could manage. The more important coaching situation is Dale Sveum. Is his contract up yet? Because I can't wait for the day where I look down third base and actually have a little confidence in the guy deciding if we get runs.
  11. Yea, Theo may be the most valuable part of the Red Sox, other than Big Papi of course.
  12. Personally I'd like to see a Graff/Pedroia combo over a Cora/Pedroia combo. And I definitely don't want to see Soriano. Yes he is a good second baseman, but I would rather not spend the money on him when we can save it. Plus, if Pedroia pans out sooner rather than later then we'd be in a bit of a bind. Finally, we did the same thing with Renteria and look how (cough cough) well that turned out.
  13. i wouldn't mind making a pitch for Washburn. i also wouldn't mind not making a pitch for Millar.
  14. feck this s***, this team deserves to lose. GO WHITE SOX. At least they're playing baseball.
  15. great performance by Papelbon, kid will be a stud for us for years to come
  16. worst clutch hitter on our team, i love Tek, but he does not come thru nearly enough when we need him'
  17. i love Tek and all and wont object to pinch hitting him, but you really cant take a chance on Belli? esp. since you know he's not as good from the left side
  18. damn, good stroke tho, cant hit a HR every time
  19. wow, renteria is so much better when he doesn't swing
  20. maybe we should have rent stand close to the plate and hope he gets pegged....win/win
  21. seriously can we play youkilis? i'm sick of watchin these frickin ugly swings by mueller. or if not, at least put mueller in the 8 or 9 spot. Secondly, anyone else think that ESPNs broadcast is almost as bad as Fox's. I mean at least we don't have to listen to the biased McCarver and Buck, but these guys (esp. Berman) make just as many stupid comments.
  22. another great hit by Renteria.........oh wait..........
