  1. Why are you talking about one year playoff deals when he just got signed for 12?
  2. They can deal Sharp I believe in order to make enough room.
  3. I disagree with that too. I dislike Kessel's game and agree that he's one dimensional, but you're insinuating that he isn't even one dimensional, and that his goals are handed to him on a silver platter by Savard. Kessel can score, but he's pretty mediocre defensively. I'd pay him $4mil, not $5mil though.
  4. In other NHL news, the Blackhawks nabbed Marian Hossa for 12yrs/62mil
  5. 1) House already is back, we don't need to "find a way". 2) Sheed will command a lot of the MLE, Ariza will command probably the whole MLE, doesn't fit. 3) They will most likely resign Davis cause we have his birds and because bringing him back won't count on our MLE. 4) Powe won't be back, didn't make a qualifying offer. 5) Sheed does not, cannot, and will not (if he plays here) pay the 5.
  6. I think he's saying throwing away however much money we did in buying out Schafer, it makes it look even more inexcusable with the truckload we gave to Timmy. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  7. Eddie House will be back in green next year for his $2.9 mil PO which won't count against our MLE Attaboy Danny
  8. Overweight and out of shape also followed a trend there. Williamson could also play small forward, was an elite defender of 3's and 4's, and wasn't really a slouch offensively, scoring around 12 ppg in his prime. His rebounding skills didn't translate to the NBA either. It's really unfair to Williamson, an elite role player in his day, to group him in with Sweetney and Traylor, regardless of how tall they are. Furthermore, Williamson had twice the longevity as either of those guys. You also can't say he was a "high draft pick who was decent in the pros", first off because he was an elite role player, and secondly he was drafted that high because that was one of the worst drafts in a long time. You could make the argument that he ended up being anywhere from the 4th to 6th best player out of that draft.
  9. Jensen Lewis, RP Brendan Ryan, Util (Bench)
  10. Corliss Williamson was a much better and more important player than Traylor or Mike Sweetney ever were. Not sure why you lumped him in with two overweight out of shape bums.
  11. Adrien is pretty much Leon Powe, I didn't think we needed him. Hudson is an awesome pick. He's a guy with a lot of potential who had some real bad character and personal issues growing up, in High School, and his early years in college. This scared most DI schools off, which is why he ended up at UT Martin, and he pretty much cleaned his life up and dominated. He was at the top of the NCAA in scoring, and he had a quadruple double one game if I remember right. He's an athletic specimen, he can shoot out to 3, dribble, drive, and rebound real well for a guy his size. If Danny gives him a chance, he can be a terrific role player for the Celtics.
  12. Literally every foreign guy (outside of Rubio) was announced awkwardly by Stern.
  13. They're trying to get better, rookies won't just improve playing by themselves. By trading down to next year, they can potentially find a guy at that pick who would have much more value than Lawson, or anyone else this year would have. Holiday was the last guy to go this year who has the potential to be any more than a role player anyways. And Collison is a great pick. He's a perfect back up for Paul, and I wouldn't even be surprised if they play along side each other a bit.
  14. If you think for a second that they're not trading 2 of them at some point, you're nuts. They've probably got 2 deals they're about to make. Lawson to Denver for a future pick (via Charlotte). Told you. Smart move there.
  15. Holiday is an awesome pick @ 17.
  16. Gonzaga, long and tall, weighs about 50 pounds. Team player, winner, probably will play SF and be a matchup nightmare (like Rashard Lewis when he played the 3 in Seattle), good hands, and a load of offensive and defensive potential. He just needs to add some bulk, and not play like a pussy.
  17. I thought they'd take Holiday there, personally. They need a point guard pretty badly.
  18. Hansbrough to the Pacers. He'll make them very happy.
  19. Foreign game is different. I don't like Jennings either, but he came back here a better player. He improved his mid-range shot but he needs to improve his decision making and add some range.
  20. Flynn will not be in Boston, Ainge is smart enough to not go into your last year of your window of opportunity to win a title with a rookie point guard. Rondo may be gone but we will have a veteran point guard there.
  21. I thought the second they took Flynn that they'll package him with one or more of their other first round picks, maybe a piece or two, for an upper tier player.
