i said accurate. many people view him as underrated and they say look at his stats, i dont see anything sparkling. i see good allaround stats for a right fielder. the fact is that he cannot hit a lefty for crap. aside from that trot is a very good player. he is solid fielding in the unpredictable fenway right field, and he can absolutely kill righty pitchers
i think even when mueller comes back, they should keep Youkilis in until he hits a wall so to speak. mueller has been struggling and if youklis went 2-4 vs halladay i think he can go 4-4 vs d-rays pitching
come on... we all know its a race between the sox and the mfy to get him. if we dont get him by the ASB, the mfy will get him. but i think we have the upper hand because we have much more talent available at the minor league level than the mfy
this is where wwe break out of this mini slump we are in. tampa has not only lost 10 of 11 but 17 of 20. if we can take advantage of their crappy pitcing expect a sweep and us to start getting on a roll.
GO SOX
top 2 in the majors in Ks with 56 each (check pedros, not sure if it includes yesterday). this just shows how dominating petey can be. even with his slightly slowered velocity so far, he is proving that he can still baffle hitters with his unbelieveable control.
if we were to get beltran, and damon was involved in the deal, who would lead off???
i wouldnt want a .300 30 100 guy leading off because of our lack of depth at the bottom of the line up. he wouldnt equal his numbers because of this. this is why damon is a valuable asset to this team because we have no other player capable of leading off a game
i like the tight, low scoring games. in games like this, it brings out the real stars in the sense that every little hit, pitch, and catch are worth that much more.
