West was one guy he took a chance on and cashed in. None of this I consider to be amazing by any stretch, just either good scouting and/or dumbluck. But the one amazing move that Ainge made that really made this team was dealing Dahanty Jones and Troy Bell, who have done relatively little so far in the NBA, for Kendrick Perkins and Marcus Banks, who have both shown flashes of brilliance. If Perkins can get his low post game better, and stay out of foul trouble, he could be amazing, because he probably our best rebounder. Banks, if he can get consistency on his jumper will be great because if his speed and defensive abilities. And, s***, if Gerald Green turns into what he is projected to be, 1 to 2 years down the road, the rest of the NBA will be screwed.
