  1. Gabe. Wow. He is like... the man. His swing is so wierd. I dont care how good or bad he is, hes a good guy in the clubhouse and we need a guy like him who can come in and play some good defense and get us some hits. Gabe is a pimp.
  2. Hahahahaha... f***ing Canadians...
  3. Its a great idea in theory, but it will just throw everything off and mess him up.
  4. I wouldnt say funniest. Its definitely top 5 though. I would put Dumb and Dumber ahead of it for sure. Nothing past that is in a solid place though.
  5. Youklover > whereisnomar End of story. Foulkers for life bitch.
  6. Nah, just terrible baserunning.
  7. Just for your information, Elsrbueno... I was never for it. Never have been, never will.
  8. Exactly. Take Torii Hunter for example. Hes an amazing fielder. Putting Schilling in the pen would be like putting Hunter at shortstop.
  9. Hell no. I play tennis. Im pretty damn good if I say so myself. I know Yeszir likes tennis, as does yankeessuck013
  10. s***... thats pimp. I would use it if you could get it bigger.
  11. Yeah, its two different things. And responding to pressure when starting and closing is two completely different things as well. Like soxie said, I dont think he could handle it.
  12. You were serioulsy just thinking that?
  13. Closing is 98432579875439854358943952387 times harder than starting. You need to be PERFECT for those 3 outs. Only certain people can handle this pressure, I dont know if Schilling can, but he is our ace, Damon is right, Schilling needs to start, Timlin and Arroyo need to close.
  14. Eh. I dont really know if I like this. He reminds me way too much of BK Kim. Hopefully he can be good and help out a bunch though.
  15. I dont think thats right. If the guy is playing bad, hes playing bad and needs to be on the bench. I think its good for Bellhorns confidence though. Let him know that someone believes in him.
  16. We all are hoping for a repeat. Welcome to the site.
  17. Yeah, and even the amount he is getting paid is ridiculous for his production. He has every right to be happy, I dont know why he wouldnt be.
  18. Yeah, the Celtics are probably the most lucky team though. They didnt think Jefferson was going to fall to them last year. Tony Allen was similar coming out of OSU last year as his former teammate at OSU, Joey Graham was this year. You know they would both be solid and be able to contribute. West was one guy he took a chance on and cashed in. None of this I consider to be amazing by any stretch, just either good scouting and/or dumbluck. But the one amazing move that Ainge made that really made this team was dealing Dahanty Jones and Troy Bell, who have done relatively little so far in the NBA, for Kendrick Perkins and Marcus Banks, who have both shown flashes of brilliance. If Perkins can get his low post game better, and stay out of foul trouble, he could be amazing, because he probably our best rebounder. Banks, if he can get consistency on his jumper will be great because if his speed and defensive abilities. And, s***, if Gerald Green turns into what he is projected to be, 1 to 2 years down the road, the rest of the NBA will be screwed.
  19. Yep. This signing of Scalabrine pretty much ensures that Antoine Walker is gone. Ainge is more than likely going to try to push Jefferson with Scalabrine coming off the bench. With Scalabrine, it makes the free agent picture for the Celts a lot clearer. They used $3 million of their mid-level exception, leaving about $2 million left. They also offered a contract to PG Sarunas Jasikevicius. If he accepts that he will make about $1.6 million next year, and the contract could be for three years. We are probably going to sign and trade Walker. I have no idea to who, but since we are close to the cap, and almost have a full roster, I am thinking it might be for maybe 1 player - a veteran leader, and draft picks. Since Ainge has done a good job drafting the last three years, picking up 6 quality players between these three drafts, he has got an amazing future ahead of him, especially if Perkins and Jefferson develop soon.
  20. From the Boston Globe - Red Sox Notebook
  21. Whoa, Youklover. I need to teach you a lesson in good movies.
  22. We are reportedly going to sign PF Brian Scalabrine. 5 years, 15 mil. I think its a little much to pay for a backup, but he is a pretty solid back up. Still, I dont expect much production, or for him to see much playing time anyways, so I believe that 3 mil a year is a bit much. The only way I could see him getting significantly more playing time is if we deal away Blount. He was very solid down the stretch for the Nets and I hope we can see play like that here. http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/celtics/articles/2005/07/07/report_celtics_have_deal_with_scalabrine/
  23. Haha, yeah, that would be the last thing we need.
  24. Wow, ending games early might be the gayest thing - ever.
