    Papelbon now tied for 7th on Red Sox Single-Season Saves List Papelbon now has 29 saves, which ties him with Lee Smith (1988) and Dick Radatz (1964) for 7th all-time on the Red Sox single season saves list. Next up for Papelbon is Heathcliff Slocumb and Bill Campbell who each have 31.

    Just something worth mentioning. Papelbon saved his 27th game this season, which ties him for 8th place on the all time Red Sox single season saves record. Ellis Kinder recorded 27 in 1953 and Jeff Reardon did it in 1992. Next up for Papelbon is Dick Radatz and Lee Smith who each had 29.
