  1. ok, time for Ortiz & Manny to do their jobs... at least tie this game!
  2. loretta, just stay out of a double play... let manny and ortiz do the work
  3. law of averages says youkilis gets on
  4. I love how a guy with a 5+ ERA held the Red Sox scoreless, and they haven't done s*** since the 4th. At least Wily Mo Pena has a chance for the cycle.
  5. Youkilis has looked terrible of late. The greek god of walks seems to strike out a lot as of late.
  6. I can't believe the Red Sox haven't done anything, at least nothing thats been announced.
  7. nah, I think if Schill can get through this inning he'll be alright just chip away, and we'll be right back in this game, no lead is safe in Fenway, not even 6-1
  8. aren't the A's against bunting?
  9. it all comes down to Varitek...
  10. come on manny, hit one out of here!
  11. manny better make up for that when he comes up to the plate
  12. god damn lazy outfielders
  13. I know, it's the all-important 60th win, I really like it when we move up games on the Yankees too.
  14. Ortiz homer in the top of the 9th, and Papelbon closes it out in the bottom of the 9th... my optimistic prediction.
  15. Also, we can hope Toronto comes back and beat the Yankees.
  16. I didn't expect to win this game anyway, but tomorrow has turned into a must win situation. And damn it, it better not be blacked out.
  17. damnit this game got blacked out >:
  18. Papelbon now tied for 7th on Red Sox Single-Season Saves List Papelbon now has 29 saves, which ties him with Lee Smith (1988) and Dick Radatz (1964) for 7th all-time on the Red Sox single season saves list. Next up for Papelbon is Heathcliff Slocumb and Bill Campbell who each have 31.
  19. Just something worth mentioning. Papelbon saved his 27th game this season, which ties him for 8th place on the all time Red Sox single season saves record. Ellis Kinder recorded 27 in 1953 and Jeff Reardon did it in 1992. Next up for Papelbon is Dick Radatz and Lee Smith who each had 29.
  20. That's not a move you make mid-season.
  21. BELLI! blessing in disguise! Yeah!!! Just the shot in the arm this team needs.
  22. I hate borderline calls that don't go our way. >:
  23. now would be a good time for Mirabelli to get things going
