Don't get your hopes up. My Mets have completely new guys in the front office, and I think the mindset on top pitching prospects (especially lefties who throw 97) has changed.
You won't get Petit, but you will get a few decent prospects. Ian Bladergroen is a great first base prospect. He was injured last year but still managed to have a decent year. We don't have room for him because we have Shawn Bowman, a third base prospect who may be good enough defensively to move David Wright over to first (and he's good enough offensively that we may convert him to a first baseman).
Blake McGinley is a lefty reliever who was available in the Rule 5 this year. He's been great over the winter and should get a spring training invite.
