  1. Oh boy. 12th inning.
  2. Thank god...Bobby Jones should never ever ever ever ever pitch again.
  3. WOW. 8 straight balls. AND HE HAS NONE!
  4. Nice single, winning run on base... Here we go Millar!
  5. Now if they brought El Guapo back, that'd be worth it...
  6. 3 starts isn't too bad...they should be fine once he's back, and I think they'll be able to hold their own for the time being. With Clemens pitching like he did, it takes a lot of pressure off the rest of the staff.
  7. DC is rather large, and the Expo's can be exciting...I'm sure if they moved there they wouldn't have any problems with fan attendance.
  8. I think it's evident that nothing is very certain this year. Detroit look like they'll win 80+ games, but I don't know how long they'll play this well.
  9. At first I thought they were gonna get Bret Boone...I almost was going to flip out and kill a Yankee fan. It's not that big of a deal, it's for next year. Their team could look much different, and Boone could re-injure himself again.
  10. Heh...kind of scary to think they have the best record in all of baseball.
  11. Oh yeah, I agree McCarty shouldn't be pitching...but in a situation like that, he is a good option for an emergency pitcher.
  12. They're not in fourth place... I-rod is certainly helping, although the loss of Dimytri Young could hurt a lot. The White Sox/Minn will probably win the division, but it's not unreasonable to say the Tigers will.
  13. Who would you have put in instead? He was the only logical option, as the bullpen was exhausted from the previous night. At that point, it was pretty evident that we were going to need to score some runs to get back in the game, which didn't happen even after he was put in. On WEEI they correctly assesed the situation - "he is taking one for the team."
  14. Williamson and Foulke look fine, and even Embree. Although he didn't pitch great, you also have to take into account the fact that they all didn't get much (if any) sleep last night.
  15. Because everyone (but Arroyo) was up all night, the bullpen was worked hard yesterday - he was the only option that would keep the bullpen useable for the next few days.
  16. Nice, McCarty is warming up! Yeah, Timmy is worrying me...I hope he finds his control soon.
  17. Lol...good stuff. Someone should go in there and be like "I resent your 26 World Series Rings"
  18. Quiet, fool! And by bitching I mean his attitude...
  19. I have Lilly on my fantasy baseball team...he just got benched. :-p Seriously Dave, if you're going tomorrow, no need to spend upwards of $100 on ticket/food.
  20. Ahhh hahah! That's going in my profile... Good find, Dave
  21. Rofl! Where did you find that?!
  22. It'll be pretty hefty though...don't expect to pay less than $75. Especially since it's opening day, scalpers will have higher prices.
  23. He's got a point...Bonds had 148 BB last year (I think) and still hit 45 HR, in only 390 AB. Pretty impressive if you ask me.
  24. Some *******, eh? :-p (Not that it's important...but if Gid hadn't ruined my team, I wouldn't have dropped my players.) $150/person, or per league? I have one private league with school friends (with money on it), and a couple of public leagues that I don't care too much about.
