  1. Actually, I think I might. I'll tell you this if you try to use better grammar, spelling, and make better posts. That's our trade. Agreed?
  2. This isn't in my hands. But I believe that this is a Sox message board in general - that is the primary reason for it. There is this "Other Sports" section that doesn't get that much action as it is. If you want, you can start up an "Official College Football" thread in this forum and deal with that. It just seems pointless to start a whole other section. If I'm missing the point, let me know.
  3. Sure, you'd have fun talking to him.
  4. Every post was about the Yankees. The ones that weren't were completely biased statements with no backing whatsoever...if he wasn't busy picking fights with another member of the board. Of course all of our posts are on the Sox...it's a Red Sox message board. That's the point. I would love to see more Yankee fans on this message board...as long as they are fans of the sport as well. Meaning they can give insight to everything that we're talking about, and not just bring up the Yankees. That goes for fans of every team.
  5. Yankee fans ARE allowed. Just not Yankee fans who spam the board posting factless statements as well as having everything they mention be about the Yankees. Empirestrikesback was allowed as a Yankee fan...until we realized he made no positive contribution to this board.
  6. What's our rotation going to be like in the...you know. October thing? We have seven starters (might as well mention all of them, they are on our roster) Pedro Martinez Curt Schilling Bronson Arroyo Derek Lowe Tim Wakefield Pedro Astacio Byung-Hyun Kim Who's # 1? Who's 3? What's going on? DISCUSS!
  7. I shouldn't be provoking anymore. Anything else that isn't related to Closers/What the Foulke?, please bring it to the Fights section.
  8. Why don't you try to make some good posts that are easier to read?
  9. True, but he was talking about Rolaids relief. I don't really know how that award works. But I agree with you - Gagne is better.
  10. yankeehater - I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure we were talking about this year...wait...wait... No, I'm right. He won the best closer award for the American League LAST year. You said so yourself. That's why we signed him. He just hasn't been up to par THIS year.
  11. I don't think they should activate Kim this season. Keep working with him, let him rehab a little more... it's obvious something's out of place considering the excessive decrease in velocity on his fastball. But I agree with ahhchon and yeszir - Kim will be good in years to come. Give it some time...meaning not this year. Too risky, especially with his back.
  12. yankeehater- nice punctuation. Foulke has two pitches. As a hitter, they have a 50% chance of guessing right. The only problem is...one of the pitches is a changeup that happens to be among the nastiest in the game. Foulke is no where the best closer in the league (Smoltz, Rivera, Gagne), but he is certainly a quality enough closer to keep in the lineup. Like YH said - every closer has a bad stretch. It just happened to come at a bad time as well.
  13. 6-5 now. Thank you David Ortiz.
  14. I still have the chills. Great game all around, Brady actually did better than manning in everything except yards/pass. Vanderjagt missed, which is unheard of, and Vinatieri is still a legend. My main man Bruschi picked off Manning (the first drive?) and wilfork made a KEY fumble pick up at the end there. The highlight? The McGinest sack. Nothing more needs to be said about that. This TEAM is off to a good start.
  15. I think you may have contradicted yourself there empire. You believe he'll hit .400, yet NOT get the 257. Are you retarded?
  16. soxfan - that wasn't pointed at you.
  17. I don't understand...I haven't seen this information anywhere else. I saw it last night at Yahoo, but it hasn't been on the Sox's site...in fact the MLB preview for the game even mentioned a soon return for him. HMMMM.
  18. Hopefully no one here stayed up like I did...but great game. Those two controversial calls late in the game...kinda unfortunate. But oh well, they were both in our favor, so okay. Ortiz got that bases loaded 2B, sox win it 8-3. The bad news: Damon's on the DL (what else is new).
  19. It's true! MEHHHHHH.
  20. Yanks won, but quantrill made it interesting in the ninth..giving up a tworun shot. I'm off to watch the sox.
  21. The fact is...the sox tried to surmount a nearly insurmountable comeback. And they almost pulled it off. What we know as fans now is this: If the right call was made...Manny may have tied the game. The Sox are the best damn team in baseball. No hard feelings about today. All we learned is that the Sox are running on all cylinders...and that Wake is inconsistent.
  22. Brown to be out at least 3 weeks after surgery tomorrow, possibly out for the season. (from Yahoo)
  23. Bellhorn + Ortiz = Me in tears right now. s***ing myself.
  24. Ponson has been dominant, but Mussina hasn't been bad either.
