  1. I thought Rolaids spelled relief? I have yet to see Myers pitch in a game (I seem to miss him a lot), so I can't really comment, but he certainly seems like a decent addition to an already strong bullpen. We dont have to worry about our bullpen constantly blowing games anymore, thats for sure. Just freak out about the starters.
  2. It was the best last year too. Not too shabby.
  3. Not much action tonight, eh?
  4. Here's a website for you man, http://www.nyyfans.com. Go talk about the yankees somewhere else, please. Unless, of course, you have something positive to add to this community.
  5. Seems like a record was tied in this game: http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-r...ov=ap&type=lgns
  6. Newton, MA along with yagmaster calvnhobs6 and some other peeps.
  7. But I love it so. I dont know why though. Hey, a rhyme!
  8. Lol, once we tie it Wake decides to lose the lead. Damn Red Sox.
  9. Wakefield is not looking his sharpest today, thats for sure. He's a home run machine. Comerica is not working in his favor I guess, as Remy pointed out.
  10. Congrats to Maddux on entering the elite pitchers club. I had my doubts at the beginning of the season, but he's pitched well and he deserves it.
  11. What are you talking about? The Red Sox won. Stop being an idiot.
  12. Wow. Pedro looks on tonight. I'm excited for the rest of this outing.
  13. I'm still confused, but in order to avoid any future embarassment, I'll say "thanks, now I understand!"
  14. The Cardinals rotation is this: Matt Morris Chris Carpenter Jason Marquis W. Williams Jeff Suppan I did not say it was horrible. I said it was not good enough to advance deep into the playoffs. Their offense could definitely overcome it, and there are certainly much worse rotations out there. It may be underrated, sure, and I admit I havent seen much of them play. But there really is no standout in the pitching staff and I'd be at a loss to decide who would pitch in the playoffs.
  15. Amen. What a great article, thanks for posting it. It's sad that it is so true. We have created our curse by being whiny bitches and running our players out of town. I still see nothing wrong with Nomar, but I see plenty wrong with the fans and the media that hate him so. Sometimes I hate being a sox fan.
  16. Oh, well that makes some sense now doesnt it? Thanks for clearing up my confusion.
  17. I still don't get it. Where does Mike Myers fit into this whole Jamie Lee Curtis thing?
  18. Watch. Despite the obvious and extreme advantages that the loss of all these players gives us, the pats most likely won't advance far into the playoffs. It's how sports works.
  19. They still need pitching and lots of it. They're rotation is not good enough to advance deep into the playoffs.
  20. The Bosox defense has been more than "slightly upgraded". I'd go as far as saying its one of the best in the league right now.
  21. Element, Im gonna merge your topic with the already existed, albeit poorly named topic.
  22. Ortiz was suspended 5 games.....
  23. Jamie lee curtis reference went right over my head. Did the actor mike myers do something....?
  24. We're coming off of our first winning road series since early June, so we have "momentum" on our side. Lowe owns Detroti, going 5-0, 1.39 ERA against them during his career. Maroth, not so much. He's 0-4, 7.77 ERA lifetime against Boston. We have history, momentum, and the fact that we're playing the Tigers and facing a former 20 game loser on our side. We better sweep.
