  1. I don't understand the Rangers. It's obvious that they're an offensive powerhouse who are in desperate need of pitching. But all these rumors involving them are about them getting even more hitting. It makes no sense.
  2. Except for that one A-Rod sympathizer who just didn't get it and kept saying "ITZ NOT HIS FALT THAT HE DIDNT CUM TO BOSTON!!!1"
  3. Welcome to the site.
  4. Hasn't this been so for a while?
  5. Welcome to Talksox.
  6. This is a pleasant game to check on occasionally when you can't watch it.
  7. This happens every year with you, we never know whether to take it seriously or not. This recurring problem, coupled with your tendency to run out poorly-argued posts, is getting on our nerves. You may be good for a decent amount of posts per day, but you're a cancer in the clubhouse! Also, you smell bad.
  8. Maybe Tito simply grew balls and benched him?
  9. Eek. Manny? Something smells fishy...
  10. Speak for yourself.
  11. K-Rod looked legitimately scared when he was facing A-Rod there. He refused to throw strikes and that cost him the game.
  12. Oy vey. K-Rod was worse than Embree today.

  14. WOW! He ALREADY blew it for them. I'm impressed!
  15. But seriously though, without Embree, whose runs will Timlin allow to score?
  16. I think NESN is wrong. I didn't do either, so I was neutral. I think the booers were just louder than the cheerers, really.
  17. Baseball isn't football. It's a team game TO EXTENT, but what it really boils down to is one on one matchups. Pitcher versus batter, and thats it. There's no 10 guys running downfield trying to get open, blocking for each other and diving for errant throws. For me, this whole situation boils down to the fact that Manny overcomes his "attitude" with something called his "bat." Manny hasn't been running out ground balls since we got him 4 years ago. He's always stopped to watch homeruns (which, let me remind you, he hits a lot of). This is only an issue now because it's become a huge deal that he's asked to be traded, another thing that he does frequently. Bottom line, Manny wins us many more games than he costs us with his stupidity. He is protection for other players in the lineup (Manny-Ortiz mean anything to you?), and we need him on the team. Wells may be upset at Manny not stepping up after teammates went down, I think we all are, but I can tell you that he sure is happy to have him on the team when Many hits a go-ahead 3 run shot to put the sox on top when Wells is pitching.
  18. Amen. Last year's Nomar deal was huge, shocking, but it MADE SENSE. Trading Manny and prospects for inferior players so the rest of our team can suffer? That's sheer stupidity.
  19. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Talk about desperation!
  20. All in all, a good game. That 3 run catastrophe was one of the funniest things I have ever seen in baseball, and will surely be one of the bottom 10 plays of the year.
  21. Hey, welcome to Talksox.
  22. Great. Byrnes on the O's. More chances for him to hand us games and postseason series because of stupid errors.
  23. As for the manny boos: it was 75% cheering madly and 25% booing him. Most people seemed to be pro-Manny at tonight's game.
  24. Wade Miller having shoulder problems? We are so screwed...
  25. Maybe Miller's pulling a Manny and is refusing to play?
