I agree that the 04 fight definitely lit a fire under their asses. It was badass to see and definitely added a lot to the rivalry.
But right now I think the team would suffer more from a Youk suspension (and whatever other suspensions result) than from the fire gained from a fight.
It's a pretty basic statistic that's relatively easy to look up. Good thing to know how to do. The site ORS posted is definitely a start, it's the greatest baseball site out there.

If Wakefield didn't give up that homerun, someone else would have. After Pedro's collapse, the Red Sox were not winning that game.
I think he was saying that Little was fired because of what happened in New York in 2003, not because of his decision to go with Wakefield so much as his decision to go with Pedro. :dunno:
What are the sox going to do? He's absolutely indifferent to the success of the team and now seems to be wholly obsessed with creating more "Manny being Manny" moments.
