    Amen. I loved how Manny exemplified the Red Sox casual idiotness opposed to the starch seriousness of the Yankees. Even though I'm a windows guys, I like this comparison: the Red Sox are Apple, the Yankees are Microsoft. In this analog, Manny was Steve Jobs. It's unfortunate that his whole screw everyone I'm Manny Ramirez attitude had to come to this, but it won't change the fact that for 7 and a half seasons I loved to watch pitchers crap themselves when he stepped up the the plate. I wish him luck in LA, but not enough that those *******s over at Dodger Blues can feel good about themselves.

    Maybe tomorrow night the A's will hit a home run and some 13 year old kid in the bleachers who, due to a freak accident has an incredibly powered arm which makes a noise like a zipper will throw a rope back to home plate as the crowd chants "throw it back throw it back!" and the Red Sox will sign him for bullpen help and he will end up striking out Giambi in a huge game with some kind of eephus pitch right after his arm gives out. Thoughts?

    Didn't they want the $9 mil before. The sox seemed ok with that. It's $9 mil in the form of paying the rest of Manny's salary.
