Beat me to it, Slasher. And what a wonderful Smiley-Beni Day it is. Smiley is somewhere smiling and benying.

 

I'm grateful that it came without too much angst. Seems like almost every game down the stretch this season has been filled with drama, win or lose, good team or bad. This game came without as much drama as expected. For a change, the defense was solid and the pen didn't give up their usual free passes with the lead. Still, a boneheaded baserunning gaffe by Verdugo as he sauntered into second, but it was hard not to be too upset with him after that big hit.

 

I don't know about the rest of you, but this game was my World Series. This was more than I expected going into the season. Whatever they accomplish from this point on out is gravy.
