88 fastball to challenge hitter. rolf

Up and in no less...why not put it on a tee?

He looked shocked. What did he expect to luck out and have the guy miss that pitch?

I so want Salty out of here. I just cannot take him anymore. Package him up with d-mac and see if Waste Management has a baseball team that wants them.

Gotta' stick w/your team through the good & bad, bad, bad. But, that doesn't stop me from saying this team sucks and the offense is too streaky..... It's only May 5th?? :/

The offense would be great if it was even somewhat healthy. It's our pitching I'm worried about.

He look like a typical junk balling AAAA player.

The medical staff never should have let Cook stay in. He needed stitches, the wound was above the knee and hence would restrict movement and it would only swell and tighten up over the next 30 mins to an hour. The stitches he will require wont be taken out for 2 weeks, so he might end up on the DL

In an athlete and not a fat ass, there isnt much below the skin in that area. Small layer of fat under the skin then a fascial plane until you hit the patellar tendon. So it will look worse than it is. Regardless, it will restrict his motion and hence should have taken him out of the game

I think it is somewhat healthy, that's the problem! I mean, Pedroia, Ortiz, Agonz, Aviles, Sweeney are all people I have or should be confident in. But the production isnt in sync between them. Perhaps Aviles is coming back to earth and maybe Sweeney, too. The only offense we're missing is Ells & CC. They need to come back and be on fire. I look forward to the all-star break.

Maybe 2012 really is the end of the world. I mean, look at the ALE!!

I know I am just venting but I almost wonder if it would do these guys some good to have somebody sent right down that was on the opening day roster.

It is not at all uncommon in the NFL, particularly with the Patriots that if the team is stinking up the joint this badly, somebody just gets tossed on the practice squad or is just cut. They have injuries, there is a lot going wrong but they have to cobble together a way to at least compete in games and I think they are looking like they are an eyelash away from not competing in games. The O's smell blood in the water and they have played like it for two days now.

Just turned on the game. Wow. Streaky offense, either 20 home runs in a game, or everyone fans at the balls. Pitching..... don't even need to comment. What a joke. At some point people are going to stop being mad at Bobby V. And start feeling sorry for him. I will keep watching the game in hopes the crowd will start booing the crappy play they have it coming.

Get him the f*** out of here....have him take the God damn catching gear off and put him on a bus.

By Salty, goodbye. I really thought he would improve as a player. I missed that as bad as Salty missed that pop fly.

His passed ball got Cook hurt. He misplayed a "wild pitch" that should have been blocked in front and then he dropped a pop up that he should have had the gusto to let the 3b take.

Remember couple weeks ago...V was talking about hitting bottom. Well I think he was wrong....that was not the bottom. This is the bottom. How much you want to be there will be another owners/managers meeting tonight?

I am not sure what they are waiting for with Salty. Yes, he has power. He also cannot hit for average, K's ridiculously, and doesnt walk enough. He has a good OPS for a catcher, but it is all SLG driven. He's crappy in the clutch and effectively an auto out if pitched correctly. He is absolutely abysmal behind the dish. He receives poorly, calls a bad game, cannot block balls and doesnt throw well. The only thing he can do better than a below average catcher is hit a homer or a double. That's it. I dont get why they are leaving a kid like Lavs in the minors for this guy. This isnt like Montero and Martin where at least Martin gave phenomenal defense. This is a guy who is clearly worse or equal in all aspects of the game who is still starting at the big league level

Don and Gammons are just having an MLB sports center show. The game has become background noise for them. Don said "we will continue our discussion after this commercial break". Never mind there is a game going on. Unbelievable.

I wonder how much of a parallel there is between what CC went through last year and what Albert is going through this year. You may well be right Wyo. Teams just throw money at these guys expecting they are going to play as they are paid and they might be way better served letting these monster deals just go by. What the hell are the Angels really going to do at this point. Does anybody here think they are going to turn it around to such a degree that they can compete with the Rangers? I don't think so.

It's very easy to hate this team and just about all their players minus Pedroia. I seriously want to see the Orioles finish the season above the Sox.

What a garbage game today by a garbage team.

What did Punto end up losing his bat. C'mon he can't hit with it. He has to bean somebody with it. Christ package his ass up with Salty and d-mac and send the three of them somewhere....anywhere!
