New fan from Scotland

Hi guys,

 

A couple of years ago I went to the NFL game at Wembley and really enjoyed it. I decided to start taking an interest and choose the Packers as my team. Since choosing a team I have enjoyed it more. Now the season is coming to an end I have decided to do the same with Baseball.

 

I have chosen to follow the Red Sox for a couple of reasons. I spent a few summers working in New Hampshire while at University and met a few Red Sox fans and they were cool guys. Also, Boston is my favourite American city. Only been to a few places but Boston was where I felt most relaxed and comfortable.

 

I don't have any idea of how technically good the team is as I wanted to choose a team I could have a connection with and not just go for a team who wins things.

 

So, hopefully you don't mind having a clueless newbie on board but I look forward to learning about the team and the game in general.

Don't worry mate, I was (some would argue still am) about as clueless a newbie as they come. I'm learning heaps about the game and the team just from posting here and reading others opinions. I've only been here for a couple of weeks, but I already know a lot more than when I signed up.
