Hey folks,

This is Joe from Nuremberg/Germany. I've been a big Red Sox (and Baseball in generell) fan for about 2,5 years now and I'm lucky enough to go to Boston in Sept 2011 to watch a game... a dream comes true!

So I'm busy for weeks now to find proper tickets since I only got one chance to attend a game so it's pretty important for me to have seats where nothing blocks my view for instance.

Unfortuntely it's pretty hard to read to seating table correctly. So I was wondering if you guys could help me out with giving me some hints where to seat and where better not.

I want to visit the game vs. Rays on 09/18/11 (I'm not allowed to post the stubhub.com-link :thumbdown)

I don't want to spend more than $100 and good allround view would be sweet.

Hopefully I have picked the right forum area, I apologize if I didn't.

Thanks and Let's Go Red Sox!

Unless you like watching the bleachers, the new scoreboard or have a thing for J.D. Drew, I'd avoid the right field grandstand. Otherwise, it's pretty self explanatory. Fenway doesn't have the greatest of accommodation but I usually don't mind - I'm there to see a ballgame not have my butt wiped for me.

EDIT: And welcome to the board and you picked a good team to root for. Any real reasons you chose the Sox? It's nice to see baseball getting some international fandom. I've been actually trying to get into football (real football haha) the last couple years myself. Trying to see who I like and watch some games before I pick a team.

Thanks for information. Then I try to find something else... most important is to be there at all...

I've been liking everything about Boston for years (most likely because of the music) and so I guess it just somehow had to happen that way...

I used to be a American Football fan for quite a long time and had no idea about baseball. Some time ago I was able to receive ESPN at home and when I noticed that they're airing ballgames I forced myself to watch a game. Right after that I fell deeply in love with that game and the Red Sox.

But it's pretty sad no one to find to talk about baseball. Well, that's the way it is... if you have ever any questions about (real) football let me know... always a pleasure to introduce people to our no. 1 sport... and if you need a team to root for I can highly recommend the mighty 1. FCN B)

Greetz,

Joe

Looked that football team up - they don't look very good - more power to you. I always find it weird when Europeans pick up baseball. If I saw a game I would have no idea what was going on. So uhhh... the offense never touches the ball?

Yeah, we haven't been one of the top teams for a few years... but we are still 2nd overall record champions (right after FC Bayern Munich, I'm sure you have heard of them)...

Indeed, it wasn't that easy to get into game and understand even not so clear rules and decisions... but with regular watching and asking Wikipedia I'm now pretty capable of following a game B)

But I still understand people (Europeans) who say the find baseball boring and complicated... as well as A. Football, by the way...
