Sub .500 teams

Why is it that the Red Sox continually struggle against weaker opponents? This season the team is 12-11 against sub .500 teams. They've shown flashes of high quality play, and this team is good enough to own a better record than 4-5 against the Orioles.

 

In looking for the 12-11 stat I just was reminded that the sox are 1-7 in extra innings games. Holy crap!

Well let's hope this becomes moot tonight as they start their series against the D Backs

The D-Backs are a very dangerous team regardless of what their record would indicate. Even though their bullpen sucks, they can hit the stuffing out of the ball.

Not sure of the exact reason, but they are still Major League teams with Major League talent, sure you expect them to win all the time against them, but its not like they're playing against triple A teams.

Perhaps the Sox raise their level to their highest when they are playing the best competition and play down to the s***** teams, who knows, who cares, right now the team is on a roll.

4 of those comes against the lowly Os. DO they have a bullpen? Our hitters stunk in those games.

When the Sox got swept in April by the O's, the weren't the team they are now. From the middle of May on, this team has been entirely different
