Pedroia is just entering his prime. He had 15 HRs this past season, but 13 of those came from July to October. At this point, wouldnt be surprised to see him eclipse 20 HRs

 

Oh and Hermida will start having ABs as a DH soon enough. Ortiz is on pace to have a 200 K season

Hermida has been playing well when given the chance. You reward a bench guy like that and ride him while he is hot. Ellsbury will probably miss one more game, so if Ortiz keeps this up, put Hermida in.

David Ortiz will not be in Thursday's lineup against the Twins.

Big Papi is off to another brutal start, batting just .154/.241/.269 with zero homers and two RBI through 26 at-bats. He struck out twice Wednesday and is up to 13 whiffs on the year. The Red Sox will hope the rest helps some.

There's really no point in rushing Ellsbury back if Hermida is gonna stay hot cause it seems like Ellsbury's injury is all about his pain tolerance.
