College Hockey, anyone?

Living in Grand Forks, ND my winter pretty much consists of whatever is going on online for my Boston teams and then College hockey.

 

I'm a UND Fighting Sioux fan and was wondering if anyone else here follows any of the conferences in College Hockey. Hockey East, WCHA, ECAC or whatever.. maybe a few fans of defending champs BU hiding somewhere?

I went to a few BC/BU games a long time ago, but that's the extent of my college hockey experience. I can't even get into college football so I don't think hockey's happening any time soon for me.

I LOVE BC HOCKEY. Good God. Not only do I go to BC, but I've been a fan since my childhood. I remember the 2001 squad very well and my cousin was on the 2008 team. I've loved beating the Sioux on a yearly basis in the tourney. :harhar:

 

Except last year... that sucked. Such a young team, but we got a lot of experience. We'll be right back there this year.

Yup, I've always been astonished how dominant the Gophers have been over their competition over the past 80 years, but yet have somehow NOT won the most championships. Srsly, they have a winning record against every major team in the Nation BUT BU.

Yes...i live in Fairbanks Alaska and follow my Alaska Nanook hockey team. I volunteer for the CCHA as one of the penalty box attendants here in Fairbanks. I watched the

University of Alaska-Anchorage play two games here 9 days ago...vs RPI and Robert Morris.

UAA did not look like a team that could beat North Dakota. The UAA goalie must have ben standing on his head. THis coming weekend, Alaska plays Ferris State. I hope the boys have not been reading their press clippings, as we are in the top 20.

Has had a fairly decent college hockey program, and 2 national titles. So yeah

 

It's kinda how Nebraska has the Cornhuskers, or Arkansas has the Razorbacks (Sorry Josh)

No doubt.. I was a bit upset that the Sioux could only manage a split in Anchorage.. still #2 ranked though.. Frosh goalie looked good in his debut..

Another weekend, another sweep for the Quinnipiac Bobcats. Big wins over Harvard and Dartmouth, which both feature NHL draft picks, something Quinnipiac has none of. 8-1-0, 4-0-0 in the ECAC, and should be at least in the top 15, if not the top 10 when the rankings come out on Monday.
