Good matchup, bro. Pavol Demitra paid dividends this week. If not for Lundquists 8 goal effort I mighta done some damage, but it's good to have a close one too.

 

I just checked my matchup for this week. For the week my opponent has 48 active players...I think I have 42...that can make a difference.

You know, that 6-3 final coulda been worse, there were a few categories that you just edged me in. But, that said....

 

I'm loising to fkn Pomenville this week...it's Friday and I'm down big time which means I'll likely lose 2nd and miss out on a bye in the playoffs.

Overall I'm pretty happy with how my team has rebounded. I think it all stems from hiring Gus Johnson as coach about a month into the season after getting off to a terrible start. He's really turned it around for us. Coming into this week in my last 9 matchups I'm 8-0-1.

 

Currently in 5th and hoping to hold on to one of the final playoff spots.

I need a strong week against Puck Yeah and maybe some help from Sumos to hold off the Red Wings and get a bye in the first round of the playoffs.

 

I hope Brodeur's 6 goal performance last week was a fluke, goalies are the key to my team, that's what I built them around.

 

I think last week I scored 4 or 5 goals...none by Savard, none for Getlaf, time to light the lamp, boys.

Who is Smokey Slapshots? I was pulling for Red Wings, cuz he wold have less players playing this week. Oh well.

 

I just went through this weeks matchup. I think I'm screwed unless some guys have HUGE weeks for me. Smokey has 33 forwards going to my 26...16 D to my 15, and 9 potential goalie starts to my 8.

 

That's one thing that sucks about this format...over the course of the regular season it all evens out, but in a one-week playoff, if you just happen to have guys who's teams aren't playing a lot in a particular week, you're f***ed. I might have to make moves just to get bodies on the ice.

Brodeur and the Devils with a bit of a clunker last night...I am in deep trouble now. After last night I now have 2 or three less goalie starts the rest of the week and 7 less forwards starting. Unless my goalies do something unreal and I steal all 4 goalie categories I am done.

Fkg Rangers sat Lundquist last night...that may have been the nail in my coffin. After running second all year, I'm not too psyched about the prospect of playing for 3rd next week.
