Patrice Bergeron was hit head first into the end boards and was taken off the ice on a stretcher.

It is a very scary time for Bergeron. You could hear a pin drop in Boston as the crowd was completely silent. The Flyers Randy Jones was the player who hit Bergeron from behind. It looks like a very serious injury for Bergeron. We'll keep you posted.

didnt look good at all. it sucks that something like this has to happen to a 22 year old stud hockey player with all the talent he has. id say theres a good chance he's paralyzed. best case scenario would be severe concussion. its definitely a career-threatining injury, possibly life-threatening. ill definitely be praying for him

i dont get how u could play after something like that. the flyers are the dirtiest team in hockey as they'll soon have 3 guys suspended for over 20 games this year.

I just saw the replay

It was a vicious hit to his head that shattered the glass and definitely uncalled for

I did see he is right leg move when he was down

Dear Lord I hope he is alright

Thank God he is alright, that was a very scary hit that could have been not only career ending, but life changing.

Phew...scary stuff

Well it looks like now he's out for the whole season, while the guy who hit him only got a 2 game suspension......nice job NHL!

yeah 2 games is pretty stupid , the reason for only 2 game suspension was " he wasent trying to hurt him , and there was no intent to injure the other player "
