Probably not the best time to approach him about it....nice to see Tito kick him out.

August 30, 2007 -- Tired of repeated warnings falling on deaf ears, The Post has learned Bob Watson entered the Red Sox dugout during last night's game to talk to Terry Francona about not wearing a uniform jersey while managing. Francona opts for a red pullover, which is sanctioned by MLB properties.

Upon seeing baseball's top cop, who was ushered into the dugout by an MLB resident security agent, Francona snapped at Watson.

"Get out of the dugout during the game," Francona firmly told Watson, who left.

Watson, a vice president of on-field operations, has warned and fined coaches and managers for wearing a pullover instead of a jersey. He recently docked Yankees hitting coach Kevin Long $1,000 for not wearing a jersey.

Here's some more info...kind of weird it happened during a key point of the game, mabey the guy is a yanks fan.

NEW YORK - Terry Francona was peeved this morning that a (major league baseball) security person made him show that he was wearing his uniform top in the second inning with Derek Jeter at second base.

Major League baseball's Bob Watson had asked Francona to start wearing his uniform top or at least have it on. Francona is one of several managers who doesn't wear one, but after Watson asked him to Francona has been wearing his No. 47 jersey under his top.

Francona had a long chat with Watson before yesterday's game. Francona was surpised the security person would insist on Francona showing it during the game and during a crucial aspect of the game.

We'll have more shortly.

Yup, def a yanks fan...he could have waited to do this in-between innings:

At one point Francona said he told the security person, "Can you wait a second?" The security person said, "No."

Oh yes, it's a pinstriped conspiracy. His original plan was probably to land black helicopters on the field and unleash the storm troopers while Oritz was hitting with RISP.

While the sarcasm of this post is noted where was Watson during an Anahein or Minnesota series? Scoscia and Gardenhire wear those pullovers too.

Bob Watson is an *******.
