Calvin Johnson surprisingly ran the forty at the Combine Sunday, and burned it up with a 4.35.

Ridiculous. We know that Johnson was supposed to run a time like this, but it still seems impossible that a 6'5, 239-pound man can move so fast. Johnson won't make it past the fourth pick in the draft, and we still think there's a decent chance he'll wind up in the top spot.

My erection is the size of a Louisville slugger right now. If the Bucs pass on him, I will personally hang the entire organization.

Someone might move up to the #1 spot to take him tho. Jamarcus Russell is a decent player but in all honesty the only team thinking of drafting him is the Oakland raiders. the most likely can afford to trade down and pick up some extra picks.

I wish the pats would send both there 1st rounders to Oakland plau a couple others in next yrs draft to get him, but I don't see it happening. We need some WR's and LB's tho. They better no draft another damn TE or OL.

One of ESPN's football guys mock draft have them taking the DE out of Florida, why we need another DE I'm not sure because I think Seymour, Wilfork and the other guy make a great 3 man front and are young to boot.

Thye could pull an an Eli Manning and just draft Johnson, then dangle him for whatever team drafts Russell.

I think if Oakland doesn't draft him he won't be int he top 15 as a pick. Nobody behind Oakland needs a QB really, maybe Washington, but i'd see Gibbs taking Quinn before Russell.

The Lions could use one, the Bucs could use one, the Browns could use one, the Vikings could use one, the Dolphins could use one, the list goes on.

The Redskins certainly don't need one.

As a 'Skins fan I hope they have the smarts to take advantage of the deep WR class in this draft. They could really use a possession type WR, like Dwayne Jarret (Johnson will be gone by the 6th pick), to complement Santana Moss.

Isn't this WR class not deep at all? especially with Samrdijahjkfhhfeuw signing with the Cubs. At least thats what I'm hearing.

Are you kidding me? Calvin Johnson, Dwayne Jarrett, Ted Ginn Jr., Sidney Rice, Robert Meachem, and Dwayne Bowe are all very good prospective WRs that will probably have immediate impact. Hell, some guys that will probably end up being second day picks have a good chance to provide immediate production, IMO. I think Paul Williams, Courtney Taylor, Dallas Baker, and Steve Smith are going to be impact players in the future.

No, IMO it drops off after Ginn Jr. Bowe, Rice, and Meachem are all very raw and have problems with their hands, and route-running. That said, this draft is definately deeper than last year's, but not at as it was in '05 (in terms of depth, '05 had 16 in the top 100). Also, Calvin Johnson is one fo the best to come around in awhile and should have the only real immediate impact.

EDIT: These are basically the top 35 WRs SuperMannyw as talking about

I'm not sure I'd bring up the '05 class as a comp. The top-3 WR from that draft aren't as good as the big-3 in this class, and from there it only gets worse.

hence why I said depth, this draft definately has more quality prospects however.
