in Indy for the first time' date=' and no Ty Law.[/quote']

BUT, whether you like to admit it or not, the Pats did play well enough to win (even if we didn't need to play very well). If Rodney Harrison comes back, I'll feel a lot better.

Are you kidding? It was your QB that decided to throw a jumpball to Champ Bailey... aka pretty much the biggest mistake a QB can make. We beat you fair and square this year' date=' too.[/quote']

Isn't that the textbook definition of giving the game away, like you are trying to say the Chargers did? I mean, when you make the biggest mistake possible, you are making a mental error that gives the game away in my book.

Take it from an impartial observer, Red, you get real bitter whenever the Pats are doing well. I don't see the point of trying to demean their accomplishment. They played well enough to win.

Umm the Pats did have dropped punts against the Broncos...

Okay... one unforced error?

You can point to atleast six or seven in this game.

Missed f***ing field goal!! Haha my confidence (though hated by some) never subsided that the Pats would win this f***ing game!

No, your confidence wasn't hated, it was the fact that you got mad at Marty for being confident going into this game and looking relaxed. You have the right to be confident. But it's annoying when Pats fans use that confidence and turn it into thinking that they have a better chance at winning than an equally good, if not better, opponent.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets this vibe.

Actually I was referring to people I know at work (Jets fans). And also about Marty, i was probably heated because i thought back to 2005 when a short brief time he had some words with Tom Brady though the press. Sometimes Im passionate too much for my own good.

Did my confidence block out worriness against the Chargers? f*** no, I was scared about LT this whole time. Good to see Juice Boy Merriman was a non-factor in this game. The Pats just have tonight to celebrate this fought out win and then its back to the chalkboards. Its fingers crossed, prayers, etc. if Rodney Harrison is out of the game. Still the same thing if he's in the game

Are misreading coverage and headbutting a player after a third down stop to set up a long FG on the same level in terms of stupid mistakes?

You played well enough to win. But only because you're opponent played poorly enough to lose.

Seriously, say what you want. But check the Patriots/Broncos thread from last year before you do. I would assume that SOTK was the only one that was remotely close to being gracious in defeat. Why can't it go the other way?

Also' date=' who saw Tomlinson at the end? What a baby. We go to shake his hand and he refuses to shake hands. Your class just went down the drain, LT :thumbdown[/quote']

Pure high class, huh? Peyton Manning still always went out to shake hands with Belichick & Brady, which I always found commendable. He couldnt take being beaten in his house, by the way kudos to San Diego teaming up with Ticketmaster really paid off

Hey was it you who showed the stats about Pats beating the MVP in the playoffs?

Red, the Pats aren't my team, so "you" doesn't fit with me.

If the Chargers lost because they didn't play up to their standard, why didn't the Patriots lose for the same reason when the same thing occured a year ago? Oh that's right, your team was on the winning end then. And then, combine that with the level of vitriol you display for everthing Patriot, and it's not all that surprising.

Trust me, this is coming from someone with no emotional stake one way or the other. I don't like or dislike any of the teams in question. Hell, if I had bias any way it would be toward the Broncos because my aunt and uncle live out there. You are consistently bitter when things are going well for the Patriots.

But really' date=' who saw LT at the end of the game? I didn't expect him to be that classless. Refusing to shake hands...what an *******.[/quote']

LaDainian Tomlinson rushed 23 times for 123 yards, scored twice, and caught caught two passes for 64 yards in San Diego's playoff loss.

If anything, the Chargers didn't get LT2 the ball enough. He was dominant, but will attract a lot of attention for his post-game actions. He went after the Patriots at midfield when New England imitation Shawne Merriman's light's out dance. "You guys know me, im a very classy person," Tomlinson said. "They showed no class, and maybe it comes from the head coach."

Posted

Didn't see that but you really can't argue with it if that's the case. I've never known LT to be anything but classy. That said, I don't think NE dancing is a lack of class. Besides, Merriman deserves anything he gets! :D

And hey, let's be fair... I hate the Chargers too!

Speaking of a little showmanship, CBS completely ignored the play where Vrabel sacked Rivers and then did the "Lights out" off to the side. It was perfect.

And the Charegrs are herdly the ones to be talking about class:

The underdog Patriots can use it as motivation, just as they’re aware of comments the Chargers made following last season’s 41-17 victory at Gillette Stadium, which ended the Pats’ 21-game home winning streak.

As the Chargers left the field, defensive coordinator Wade Phillips let out a whoop and yelled, “That’s an ass-whupping.”

The next day’s Providence Journal quoted cornerback Drayton Florence admonishing a group of onlookers in the bowels of Gillette: “(Expletive) New England and their team. Get the look of shock off your faces. Don’t be shocked. We beat your ass.”

Anyone see clips of LT speaking to the press? He was choking back while saying "and when we see New England imitating Shawn Merriman's lights out dance, that is just disrespectful"

Ah Im playing the world's smallest violin for you
