His ERA was 4.84 in the NL. Plus, the guy has trouble striking batters out. You want this guy to be a closer?

 

On the Braves: They do not want to take on salary, so prospects and young major leaguers are the way they want the team to look.

 

Oh, they want prospects, so they trade Aybar? That makes a lot of sense, especially since their payroll approached $90 million last year. By ditching Andruw Jones they gain $10 million more of additional wiggle room. Why don't they go talk to the Angels for Santana, Rivera, and Shields? You really expect them to settle for that s***** package?

Manny isn't going to the Angels. They have Gary Matthews Jr' date=' for pete's sake ( )! Seriously, I think he is going to end up on an NL West team - hopefully the Dodgers. I could definitly see them going for Manny, giving up some good MLB ready prospects (Kemp is pretty good, and I would like to see him in the OF in Fenway) and/or young players, and going one step further to creating the LA Blue Sox.[/quote']

 

Matthews is a CF, Ramirez could easily slide into LF, which makes Juan Rivera expendable.
