What are the chances of Mirabelli taking a minor league contract? If he loves it here so much, why not. Then bring in another catcher, maybe Mirabelli rubs off on him a little bit, and Dougie eventually goes?

I like the idea, but I don't know. He made $1.5 mill last season, and the Sox traded two good young player to get him back mid-season. If I were him, I would take all that as a sign that the organization values me pretty highly and try to make some coin. After all, how many other teams are in need of a knuckleball catcher with limited offensive capabilities?
