The Angels didn't have a prayer against the White Sox. That starting rotation was way too dominant. Your bullpen isn't much of an asset if you're constantly playing catch up.

But yes, like See Red said, they brought in Washburn. He faced Ortiz, there's not much you can do whether you're a lefty or not when facing this guy.
