Millwood looks to maintain perfect road mark vs. Red Sox

Texas (33-28) at Boston (35-24) 12:05 pm EDT (1st Game)

BOSTON (Ticker) -- As he travels across the country, Kevin Millwood is piling up frequent flier miles and victories.

Millwood tries to remain undefeated on the road this season when the Texas Rangers visit the Boston Red Sox in the first game of a day-night doubleheader.

After winning four of five decisions in the month of May, Millwood (7-3, 4.65 ERA) continued his success in his first June start last Sunday, allowing two runs and seven hits in seven innings against Kansas City.

Millwood is 5-0 with a 2.36 ERA in six road starts and has a personal four-game winning streak overall.

The Red Sox counter with Josh Beckett (7-3, 5.27), who has dropped his last two starts after winning four straight. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings and was tagged for eight runs and seven hits in Monday's loss to the New York Yankees.

Roookie Ian Kinsler snapped a seventh-inning tie with a two-run single and Hank Blalock homered in the ninth for the Rangers in Saturday's rain-delayed 7-4 win over Boston.

Boston's Manny Ramirez belted his 15th home run of the season and 450th of his career.

Another E-3, I said in last night’s game that I thought Youk could use a day off.

got Beckett into a jam, that fortunately he was able to get out of

Youk got off to a great defensive start, but has now made 4 errors in the past 10 games. That doesnt included his back to back bad plays in the 5th inning of last night's game

Even if Youkilis was suffering from insomnia, he should have came up with that ball. It hit him right in the glove.

Sox make Millwood work in the 1st inning by making him throw 7 pitches

Rangers defense helped out Millwood with that one. Young took a single away, and Blalock took a double from Loretta.
