If the edge leaves the colts they will have a tough time staying up. we have to solve the wr problem we may be facing if givens leaves - and he surely will - and troy retires- which he should.

You guys very well could be looking at playmaker FA Randle El to fill a whole at WR.

The NFL felt sorry for the Steelers fans. It makes that much more sense to finally throw the team with the biggest fan base a bone - which it did, after Indy f***ed up the original plan

Steelers nation has suffered enough. Congratulations

What do you all think of Tony Kornheiser doing Monday Night Football next season?

I don't know if he can stay up that late. i listen to him occasionally and he's not too bad. he'll be better than Dennis Miller.

Whoever wins the AFC in the next few years is going to have a walk to the SB, but getting there is going to be the hard part. IMO it's going to be a battle between the Pats, Steelers, and Colts for the right to go to the Super Bowl over the next few years.

If the Terrell Owens or Ricky Williams come to Denver, you'll be fighting for the right to lose to the Broncos in the AFC Championship game.

so wait, kornheiser is really doing it? I can't picture him away from Michael, it's just not right.

He'll still do PTI, so that's good. I like he and Wilbon together. Their oil/water type personalities are great.

Probably Dominic Rhodes. With the line he'll have he'll be good enough for them. Besides, they don't need James to win. They re-sign Reggie Wayne and that keeps Peyton's targets in Indy. They need Peyton's arm to win, not a runningback.

i don't know about that, I think James is what helped spread that def. out for manning to make passes. James needs manning, and Manning needs James. Spreading out the def, with that arm, allowed James to run, and having a runner back their, allowed Manning to get recievers on more 1 on 1 coverage

Schill what makes you think they need Peychecks arm to win?

His arm (and everything attached to it) has never won anything, on any level, from high school, to college to the pros. In fact, it took his leaving Tennessee for them to get over the top and win a National Championship with the immortal Tee Martin playing QB.

... is Ricky going to run for 5000 yards? Every RB rips it up in their system ... who cares if it's Ricky Williams.

TO is a problem ... no a solution.

MC colts will never go to the Super Bowl. Manning can't win a Playoff game for his life, and if they don't win it this up coming year, then Dungy is gone, and so is James, and probably a lot of others

You never say never especially with a great player. (See: John Elway)

The system turns average backs, and don't forget about the full backs, into some of the best in the league. You don't think a guy who once rushed for 1853 yards and was considered a premier NFL back would make a difference?

There's a difference, John Elway got to Super Bowl's. He'd proven he could make the plays to win a big game. 'The Drive' for example.

... no. Are they going to stop passing all together and just run? Of course not. So I dont really see his impact. He may be able to go crazy and produce what 2 backs did last year, but even then it's not an improvement.

No, but the tandem of Ricky Williams and Tatum Bell is a huuuge improvement over the already good duo of Mike Anderson and Tatum Bell.

OK I'd agree to that and sign Mike Anderson to the Steelers.

Although I see how that would be an improvement I still doubt they'd be able to beat the steelers pats or colts ................ as long as Jake Plummer's their QB.

They would be because Jake Plummer is one of the best QB's in the league when he learns to trust his running game and understands that he doesn't have to make all the big plays. When the running game was ineffective, you saw jake Plummer make two very bad throws which were very uncharacteristic of him this year. Both were interceptions. Looking back at that game, the Broncos had a chance to win that game without those INT's.

They have to A. get the running game going in the playoffs or B. get T.O., and suddenly the combo of Owens, Smith, and Lelie could make teams pay for making Plummer beat them.
