Ortiz out of lineup today?

Is he injured or are they just giving him a rest? He's been pounding left handed pitching all season so I don't think that's the reason he's out.

he has an aching back, he should be available in late innings as a pinch hitter, and will most likely be back for tomorrows game

Makes sense to rest his back as well as give him a day off I suppose. Let's hope they don't need him in the late innings cause they have an enormous lead. Lol.

Last time he looked awful against RJ. He'll pinch hit against a righty if they're trailing late.

The "strained back" is bull s***. He was out of the line up because Tito didn't want him facing RJ, which is understandable.
