 Awesome get to see the Yankees game today because its on Fox, go White Sox!!

El Duque tries to knock out streak

Yankees (66-54) at White Sox (74-45), 12:20 p.m. CT

Home might be where the heart is, as the old saying goes. But it certainly hasn't been where the offense or victories are for the White Sox. With Friday's 3-1 setback to the Yankees, the White Sox now have a 6-14 record over their last 20 games at U.S. Cellular Field. They also have scored two runs or fewer in six of their last nine games overall and four runs or fewer in eight of their last nine. They are averaging 3.08 runs per game over their last nine.

The offense has hit such a deep chasm that Friday became just the third time this season the Yankees have won a game by scoring three runs or fewer. But the White Sox will try to put an end to their six-game losing streak Saturday afternoon, with Orlando Hernandez on the mound. Hernandez took the disappointing loss last Monday at Yankee Stadium, despite allowing three earned runs on four hits over six innings. Hernandez has not made an official start since that night. He took the mound Sunday in Boston, but the game was rained out after two rain delays covering 4 hours, 34 minutes. The former Yankees hurler suffered his first loss on the road since April 14 when pitching at Yankee Stadium on Aug. 8.

Shawn Chacon gets the call for the Yankees. He was the hard-luck loser in the second game of the series in New York, giving up one run on three hits over seven innings. While first baseman Paul Konerko is day-to-day, his back should keep him out of action Saturday.

Yeah, Fox's contract has all other television media coverage blacked out if it is a day game on Saturdays. This is their way of assuring that the fans watch THEIR game. All games that start after 7:00 pm local time can be aired by the home broadcast station, mlb.tv, etc. It sucks.

why cant they just have a double header?

The Fox national broadcast will be a double header, it's just up to local affiliates to decide if they want to play two games, which rarely happens. I guess Cops reruns are just too important.

Leadoff double stranded by the ChiSox. If they keep hitting like they have lately, they'll lose home field advantage.

What in the hell was Guillen thinking there? If they sac bunt, they get runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1-out and Iguchi coming up. He's a decent hitter, and with Everett on deck, I doubt they walk Iguchi to load the bases for him.

Instead he opts for the bunt-bluff hit-and-run, and Perez hits a very soft liner to Jeter, who doubles up Blum after he runs on the pitch. Guillen could have manufactured a run, instead he manufactures a DP. That coming in a 0-0 ballgame has to be one of the worst managerial decisions I've seen this year.

I'm predicting that the CWS are at the beginning of a big slide. Minnesota could win the Central.
