Even though we lost last night this team must still be fired up. I'm hoping for and expecting a win from this team today.

Tha yankees have vazquez pitching, lol. 1.5 games anyone?

some guy named bruce chen (LHP) is going up against the yanks. he is 0-0 with a 2.19 ERA...im not so sure about the yanks losing today because that means they would be swept by the ORIOLES in yankee stadium. but however, vazquez has sucked.

EDIT: i put in his first name and his actual ERA is 2.19, was changed from 2.66 which i originally posted.

His name is Bruce Chen and he pitched in 5 games for the sox last year. :o

Anyway, he's pitched well with Baltimore in his two appearances with them, but before, with Houston he was iffy. He has a career 4.52 ERA so its not like he's a horrible pitcher (vazquez has 4.21), and since the yankees have been playing so horrible as of late, anything can happen.

Vazquez has given up 19 runs over his last 4 games, and he was the starter during the 22-0 blowout.

Sorry to mess up the formatting in this thread, lol, but this is vazquez's most recent starts. Not too great considering Chen has recently posted a 2.something era.

no-no gone, 3-1 Sox.

It was a perfect game, wasn't it? Oh well, he's still pitching extraordinarily well. If he keeps it up and goes 7 or 8, 3 runs should be plenty. (of course we'll get more, but I'm comfortable as it is)

Francona is trying to be the anti-grady and take out the starter. IMO he should have left Schill in there. It was obvious he wanted to continue and he definitely had it in him. Michael Young has just owned him today with those 2 hrs.

Hopefully foulke doesn't blow it.
